"But it finally ended up with the fact that there Is no landscaping, there Is not 9 federal dollars, its 9 dollars local and one dollar federal." Mr. Wiseman requested "for the record" that the Mayor clarify whether he is in favor of the pool or not. He wanted to know if he had the right to learn who he is bidding against, because "that makes a difference." Councilman Florence discussed a year guarantee on concrete obtainable from other contractors, at no extra charge. Wayne W.Wiseman stated that his concrete is guaranteed for one year, but indicated that concrete with a longer guarantee is usually higher priced to cover costs in the event that It would have to be replaced. Councilman Florence presented plans for Improvements at the golf course to put It Into a condition where It could be used for tournaments. The meeMng was called to order at 10:00 a.m. and an Invocation was offered by Debra Holllngshead. C. David White moved that the minutes of April 5, 1388 be approved. The motion was seconded by James A. Mayer and unanimously 1988. Vice-Presid- passed. Principal Marshall met with the board and discussed staff evaluations and change in 1A classification size. Mr. Marshall stated his intention to attend the Stale Committee Meeting about classification size indicating that he felt strong enough about the change that he would attend the meeting even without board approval. Discussion followed, approval denied, Mr. Marshall not to attend. Board Member White is on the Legislative committee and will express the views of the board at the June Meeting. Sandy Barton, Kim be r lee Barton, and Marsha Wong met with the board and presented a plan whereby Kimberlee would attend SUSC this summer, taking specific required courses and receive credit toward high school graduation which, if successfully completed, will allow her to enter college as a Freshman next year. After further discussion and upon approval and review by Counselor Moss and Superintendent Haslem, it was moved by C.David White that the plan be conditionally approved based upon passing grades and credits earned as presented. Commended Kimberlee for her enthusiasm. The motion was seconded by Wayne W. Wiseman and unanimously passed. No bids were received on the John Gunn property for sale or demolition. Superintendent will contact the county to see If they would help with demolition. Several other applicants previously interviewed by Superintendent Haslem also discussed. Position offered to Clair Schenck of USU and given until Monday to accept or reject. If not accepted, the position will be offered to Todd Bradshaw from SUSC Donna Lister, school nurse met. with the board and discussed maturation program for the 5th and 6th grade girls and boys. Program as Annual Spring and Summer Rummage Sale. The Sale will feature many new items as well as some yard equipment including two electric lawn mowers. They also have picnic accessories, some toys, canning jars, and a picnic basket. Most items will be priced at $1.00 or less. Plan now to stop by at the Methodist Church, 300 North 100 East in Milford. You're sure to find some -thing at a price you will be glad to pay. In conjunction with the Seatbelt campaign, FINE LINE will be com -ing to Milford High School on May 16 at 10:00 a.m. to speak on the hazards of not wearing seat belts. Everyone is welcome to attend.
