The lake appears to have a good holdover of fish from last year and these trout arenownearlngapound in weight. Chubs are now numerous In the lake, but there seems to be a pretty good population of trout too. The chubs are not too active this time of year, so they may not be that much of a problem on opening weekend. About the only other place to catch a trout on opening day In Beaver County Is the Beaver River belowMlners-vill- a Reservoir. The upper stretches of the Beaver River are too high and roily to fish, but the regulated flow coming out of the reservoir will be flshable. It will be stocked with rainbow trout catchables by opening day. Everyone should be aware of the new regulation requiring licensed anglers to purchase a trout stamp to fish on trout waters. The regulation will go Into effect May 28 and it will be enforced. Children under 12 who do not have a license .are not required to purchase a trout stamp to fish for trout. Also, the limit on trout for the first three days of the season. (Memorial Day included) is six fish. Even if one stays all three days they can only have six trout Ash-le- 438-265- fencing of the ditch north of the Little League Park.
