Ketterer, an industrial engineer in the Directorate of Maintenance, received an award of $2,167 for his adopted suggestion. Mr. Ketterer recommended that Programmed Depot Maintenance requirements be removed from the 6 Inspection Requirements technical order. He proposed that PDM requirements be published as a separate work package. The suggesters proposed that the center outboard vein of the F-- 4 aircraft stabilator be flame sprayed to extend the life of the part. The procedure has been approved and incorporated into the technical order. The Air Force has realized a savings of $17,147 in reduced costs of replacement parts as a result of this suggestion.
