Show r HILL TOP TIMES Friday, November 5, 1982 Disaster training must One of the missions of the Disaster Preparedness Office is to provide training to cer- Hill ARB military and civilian personnel to ensure that in the event of a base or community disaster, these persons will be properly trained and ready to provide the assistance necessary, Within the past few months, some personnel assigned to the various teams have not received the training, while others are overdue by not . reporting to receive it. The control group has 93 people ot 10 whom need training. The next assigned, two-- hour training class for this group is sched uled Nov. 17. The disaster preparedness officer and disaster preparedness NCO team has 94 members as signed. Of these, three need initial training and two are overdue for training. The next two-hou-r class is scheduled for Dec. 2. on-sce- ne -- foe Page 13 taken The decontamination team has 74 people assigned into 13 teams. One needs initial train-tai- n ing and nine require refresher training. The one who needs the initial training is overdue for it and three of the people who need refresher training are overdue for theirs. The next class is sched- uled for Dec. 1 and will last for four hours, Shelter management has 148 people assigned into 29 teams. Of this number, 29 require refresher training and 14 of this number are over- due. The next class will be held Nov. 30. It lasts V Id jfc :; f four hours. The disaster preparedness support team has 16 people in three teams. One of these requires training. The next refresher class for this team is scheduled for Nov. 24 and will last four hours.
