Peterson Flight Test Safety Office Aircrew members from the Flight Test Branch, Directorate of Maintenance, received a plaque for their meritorious achievement in aircraft accident prevention during calendar year 1981. In a ceremony held Monday, Brig. Gen. Stanton R. Musser, vice commander, Ogden Air Logistics Center, presented the members the honor awarded by the Chief of Staff, Gen. Charles A. Gabriel. During the achievement period, the sorties in unit flew 936 accident-fre- e includThese mission. of their support ed functional check flights to verify, of 4 and 6 aircraft coming from the Ogden ALC Programmed Depot Maintenance shops, of Air flights to validate shelf-lif- e Force munitions, and flights to test F-- air-worthin- F-1- and evaluate modifications proposed for the F-- 4. Ok The complexity of these missions required personal discipline, skill and dedication to sound safety of flight principles. In addition to their achievements in the air, crew members contributed to the Air Force flight safety posture by participating on the Ogden ALC Materiel Safety Task Group, Test and Evaluation Board, Flight Safety Council and the Flight Manual - .mmm Review Panel. Crew members assigned during the reporting period were Lt. Col. David K. Smith, chief; Maj. Edward D. Helton, Maj. Robert L. Hoffman, Maj. Michael B. Purcell, Maj. David E. Storm, Maj. Robert P.
