Show Men and women golfers in the Directorate of - Maintenance proved their prowess with the clubs and brought home the challenge trophy in Golf the annual Challenge Cup Tournament played on the base course on Aug. 7. Maintenance troops battled teams from the 2849th Air Base Group and Directorate of Materiel Management to Maintenance Inter-Directora- drives to win challenge cup Beasley, carding a 71; Charley Hansen with a 72; Denny Donaviel with a 73 and Bret Wahlen, Paul Ogaard and Kraig Lund tied with 78s. Maintenance men took first, second and third individual low gross honors: te 71; Hansen, 72; and 73. Donaviel, Women in the Directorate of Materiel Management bested Maintenance women. Maggie Bird shot an 88 to take' the ladies' low gross while ladies' special events was won by Kaye Blanchard. Coke Sipes 'won closest to the pin. Sandy Seth, 2849th ABG, made the longest drive. Longest drives were made by Beasley, earn the coveted trophy. Each a fielded 20 organization person team for the competition.
