Total win openers fast-pitche- rs The 1981 Hill AFB men's varsity fast pitch softball team opened its season with two winning games. On May 4, the team played their first game against Silent Knight Muffler and defeated them 7-The outstanding pitching of Herb Sadler and sharp hitting of Gary Shelley, Tom O'Brien, Dave Santos and Mac Holmes led the team to victory. A total of nine hits were collected by Hill, while Sadler gave up only four hits. In the May 7 game, Hill went against D&M Distributing and slammed them A six-ru- n to defeat 7-rally in the Hill fourth inning gave the victory. The "Fighting Falcons" enlisted team of the 388th Tactical Fighter Wing proved too much for the Air Force Thunderbird enlisteds when they dealt a stinging 22-1- 0 defeat in the Softball game last Friday. Coached by Tom McLaughlin, the Falcon's fighting power was displayed in connecting on home runs. For a few moments in the first inning it looked like the Thunderbirds were on their way, but the Falcons prevailed. Sugar and Duval had two home runs each for the Falcons to start the victory climb.
