There are no set rules for training the WIN force, though. "TAKING THEM step by step and letting them learn one thing at a time so everything isn't thrown at them at once, so they don't get frustrated and give up," was the suggestion of Barbara Mattews, supervisor of a WIN person training with Security Police in traffic tickets. WIN people feel the training and experience they are receiving is worth the time they spend working without being paid as other . employees are. Several indicated the small incentive payment they receive from Job Service By Teresa Weaver WIN Journalism Trainee Work Incentive (WIN) training people are being recognized by supervisors as a dedicated labor force. and Entering the seventh week of the program, WIN people at Hill AFB are helping to prove welfare people want to work. on-the-j- co-work- 13-we- ek THE PROGRAM is geared to give skilled training and to provide the people unskilled applied training so they can become on-the-j- ob more "job marketable." Although some WIN people are behind desks in clerical training, others are in areas such as air field management, journalism, photography, billeting, building inspectors and warehousing.
