John P. Dickey has been named new vice commander of the 388th Tactical Fighter Wing. He replaces Col. James B. Davis who has been assigned as commander, 474th Tactical Fighter Wing, Nellis AFB, Nev. The colonel comes to Hill from an assignment as Deputy Director of Plans, Plans and Policy Division, Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE), Casteau, Belgium. HE PREVIOUSLY completed a tour as vice commander of Incirlik AB, Turkey .where he flew all models of the F-Colonel Dickey joined the Air Force in 1956 and received his wings and commission through the aviation cadet program in April 1958. After graduation, he received advanced at fighter training in the 6 and Williams AFB, Ariz, and Nellis AFB, Nev. and was assigned to the 523rd Tactical Fighter Squadron, Clovis, N.M. He has served as flight commander and instructor for conventional weapons and conventional weapons delivery tactics.
