They received briefings on missions and workloads and toured the Minuteman missile assembly and maintenance shops, engineering test facility, 388th Tactical Fighter Wing, aircraft repair line and other stops. ' In the Most Savings Stamps contest, nine people still had the artifacts. However, Ralph Clyde Johnson, Maintenance, and Sharon Stephens, Comptroller, drew the winning exhibit of What Savings Bonds Mean to Me. Winners in the savings bonds golf tournament on May 19 were Scott Lyon, who carded net strokes and Wayne Volk, who had 3 ALC TOTAL Four benefit from old bonds LaRue Ormand, Special Projects Officer, announced the following winners in the recent U.S. Savings Bond contests. In the Oldest Bond contest, there were ten entries. First place winner was Ronald Burton, Civil Engineering Division, whose bond was dated March, 1942. Coming in second and a few months behind with his August, 1942 bond was George Bramble, Directorate of Materiel Management. A bond dated December 1942 was a third place winner for David Orlowski, 4754th Radar . 17-1- 8, 2 This group left the morning of May 18 for their return trip to Ohio. On May 17, about 30 members of the "Salt Shakers" group from the Salt Lake City Chamber of Commerce also visited the base. This group flew into the base in five aircraft and and one landed on the runway about 7:30 a.m. FOLLOWING BREAKFAST at the base Noncommissioned Officers' Club, these twin-engi- ne single-engin- e visitors received briefings on mission and workload of the base, then ended their visit with a tour of the aircraft repair hangar, 388th Tactical Fighter Wing, and other points. This group departed the base the same day at 11 : 30 a.m. p.m. p.m. 10:15 p.m. 4 enough to meet approval standards, the student will be contacted to pick up the Form 12 and rejustify the request. Rejustification must be returned to DPCT three weeks prior to registration. For information regarding the BSL assistance in completing the Form Program, 12 ' or reviewing the course description, contact any BSL student advisory council member or Butch Collman, Civilian Training, Ext. 7783.
