Thank you for your inquiry. The frequency of service and the quantity of sandwiches have been increased in these vending machines. All vending machines in Bldg. 100 are being checked daily just prior to swing shift. Any specific problem concerning a machine can be called in to the Restaurant Trouble Desk, ext. 2043, for corrective action. Tax withholding on cash awards Q A Why is it that when you receive a cash award it is figured in with your regular pay check and they take out Q if ,.n ,r I am presently on active duty and own a private vehicle with California license plates and registration. For the past three years, I have obtained a Utah inspection sticker. Lately, I have heard conflicting theories vehicles and their inspection concerning stickers. Would you please explain the proper procedures for inspection stickers? out-of-sta- te Utah law provides that every vehicle registered in this must have a safety inspection, and authorizes acceptance of inspections from other states which do have inspection laws similar to Utah. Air Force regulations require that a vehicle must have a safety inspection and since most personnel would be required to have the Utah inspection anyway, the base has decided to accept that inspection for our own purposes. This way, we avoid having to get our cars inspected both on and off base and we make the highways much safer than they would be if unsafe vehicles were allowed to operate without restriction. It is possible that you could operate a vehicle registered in another state on the Utah highways without a safety inspection, but you would not be able to register it on base, and the cost of setting up an inspection on-ba- se 165 fir M,,lfiiii,m 1 wmm p ntou i f in jjj irgiimnmiHiiHinmiiHHHmniumi The Hill Air Force Base Recreation Services Branch provides the running track for base personnel who desire to run in a closed area. Many of the runners apparently enjoy running along roadways or in their housing area and then returning to their quarters as a convenience. A study is underway to provide a paracourse jogging area to compliment the running track. A course such as this should encourage more people to run in a closed area. In the interim, jogging along roadways will be monitored to determine if more restrictive action is necessary. Health benefit plan vs. no fault Q 100 S. Ft. This means that payment cannot be received for benefits from both, the automobile insurance and the Federal plans. Therefore, in the event of a car accident, the claim must be filed with the insurance company involved for benefits up to the first $2,000.
