It is led by Lynn and Becky Wickstrom, a husband and wife team from Loveland, Colo., who use puppets, illustrated songs and stories, chalk drawings, gospel magic, and other special visual effects in their presentation. The Kids Krusade began in 1957 and has travelled to 49 states, 5 Canadian provinces, and 15 foreign countries. The first military contact came right here at Hill Air Force Base in 1969 and because of its popularity with military bases and communities, Kids Krusade is now almost 100 percent military engagements, with both Air Force and Army installations participating in the programs.
