With television making their moves, it seems that very few schools have stopped playing. TV arranges for us to see almost every game, if we desire. The cutback in player recruitment, (a school can recruit only 30 players per year instead of 40) is certainly going to make the competition keen. When Mississippi State defeated Louisiana State on Nov. 13 the Mississippi quarterback didn't figure in the 30 player roster, but would have on their roster.
