Balog, a -plastic- workpr in tho vv m uuvkiuioic Jl Maintenance, earned $1,230 for a suggestion that saved the Air Force $126,298. His idea resulted in a repair procedure for damaged or worn canopies which eliminated condemnation and purchase of new ones. Mr. Balog resides in Hunter. John P. Harames, an Ogden resident in the Directorate of Maintenance earned $1,000 for his idea. The automatic test equipment analyst suggested a modification to the light portable test set used to give quick checkout of signals to the launcher of F-- 4 aircraft. Hugh L. Martin Jr. earned an award of $1,295 for saving the Air Force $194,715.65. His suggestion resulted in condemned indicators being saved and placed back into the inventory. Mr. Martin is an electromechanical instrument and controls repairer in the Directorate of Maintenance and resides in Granger.
