Show Page HILL TOP TIMES 2 AFAF April 9, 1976 MS UMMARY Campaign Extended To April 16 Air Force To Test The 1976 Air Force Assistance Fund (AFAF) campaign has been extended to April 16. Contributions are used to finance the needs of the Air Force Village, Air Force Aid Society and the Air Force Enlisted Men's Widows Home Foundation, Inc. (Theresa Village). Security Jobs Open To Women Beginning this month, some 120 women volunteers will be recruited to participate in a test program for the security specialist career field. The test will be conducted for a one-yea- r trial at Grand Forks AFB, N.D., Barksdale AFB, La., and Osan AB, Korea. Volunteers must complete basic specialist and combat skill courses. Law Award Presented AF To Air Force The nation's top award for preventive law activities, the Emil Brown Fund Award, was presented to the Air Force at the University of Notre Dame campus March 27. Maj. Gen. Harold R. Vague, Air Force Judge Advocate General, accepted the award. Minitrucks The Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Robins AFB, Ga., recently bought 60 1975 subcompact, quarterton trucks. The pickup trucks will be tested to see if more minivehicles should be placed in Air Force use. These pickup trucks will be shipped later this year to several locations for a year of use by Aerospace Defense Command, Air Training Command, Tactical Air Command, and Strategic Air Command. Bases selected for the test are to insure operations under a wide range of geographical and climatic conditions. The minitrucks will be used for tasks now performed by standard-siz- e pickups. (AFNS) AFROTC Summer Training Planned Planning is underway for Air Force Reserve Officer's Training Corps cadet summer training. Stabilized Tour Program Is Going Well Air Force program monitors at the Air Force Military Personnel Center say that the stabilized base assignment for airmen is paying off in terms of improved morale.
