Show Page March HILL TOP TIMES 16 12, 1976 6514th Test Squadron Nominates Outstanding Airmen member and supports the squadron and base sports programs. A1C Timothy Chatman received the nomination for First Term Airman Of The Year. The. 6514th Test Squadron at Hill AFB recently named their nominees for the 1976 Outstanding Airmen Of The Year competition. Representing the squadron for Outstanding Senior NCO of the Year is MSgt. John R. Cribbs, chief of management support, training management, administration and production analysis functions and tour of specified duration for each man holding an RPV AFSC. Sergeant Cribbs constantly seeks to improve the total environment of his staff. He reorganized functions, used sound management and time and motion principles and placed subordinates in the functional roles in which they best performed. He also upgraded the hysical appearance of staff acilities. while at the same ime reduced the cost of the ork to be performed. Sergeant Cribbs believes in ' professional He personal, education. completed a recently month-lon- g electronic course on updated countermeasure systems at Melpar-E-System- (ECM) s The sergeant supports intramural base activities, is a member of the squadron bowling team and was instigator of the squadron commander holding monthly maintenance calls. Sergeant Cribbs supports both community and military educational, fraternal and religious activities. Airman Chatman has played on the Hill AFB basketball team and has MSgt. John R. Cribbs He is a member of the base golf council and has donated hours to many support btfse recreational activities and the Boy Scout Program. TSgt. Ronald VV. Lewis is the squadron's nomination for Outstanding Career NCO of the Year. He is in the squadron's RPV off-dut- y Maintenance Section. One of the points which won the nomination was when he and his team downloaded two piloted vehicles from a launch aircraft to perform an emergency TCTO on the mid-ai- r recovery remotely system. Working against a stringent time schedule, Sergeant Lewis and his team removed the system, accomplished the TCTO, reinstalled it, then prepared both launch aircraft bomb racks and replaced the After the completing uploads, he performed direct and remote checks while awaiting the preflight crew so he could brief them on all essential criteria.
