The change could affect the amount CHAMPUS pays for any specific service or supply. The prevailing charge is now set at an amount high enough to cover the customary charges for 75 per cent of the bills from all doctors or health care provided in an area during the preceding year. Previously, the prevailing rate was set high enough to cover 90 per cent of customary charges. CHAMPUS officials say the change puts the program more in line with t .i i.i care programs, mv otner t eaeraii ineaiin iney point uui mai u members use a participating doctor they are responsible for any amount of the bill in excess of the CHAMPUS limit. 1 TOr HfSl- - 1 6NTI AlTfTIB 11 m rs 1 Warm or not, spring is almost here and along with it comes the time for the optional summer uniforms for military personnel stationed at Hill AFB.
