Show PAGEANT Six young women and fourteen young girls will take part in the Miss Clearfield Beauty Pageant and Little Miss Clearfield Contest 8 p.m. Wednesday. Among the contestants are daughters of Hill AFB per- n n . sonnel. These include Elizabeth Poll, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vine Poll, contender for Miss Clearfield; and, contenders for Little Miss Clearfield, Cindy Lynn McDonald, Janina Bouwhuis, Britney Lyn Brady, Sheri Ann Waggoner, Ranae Nye, Kelly Lorene Giddens, Tamera Hamblin and Stephanie Ann )TDDirD(ol lnJ(op a pofpourri of Hill AFB personnel f TRADE Seven officers at Hill AFB recently traded the gold oak leaves of a major for shiny silver ones of lieutenant colonel. Those attaining the new rank are Lloyd W. Brown, Jr., 6514th Test Squadron ; Jeff D. Glover, Det. 860, ROTC , Utah , State University, Logan; William F. Glover, Jon Bouwhuis. Miss Brady is the daughter Randall and Kathy Brady. Miss Waggoner is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas C. Waggoner. Miss Nye is the daughter of of Glade Nye. is the Miss Giddens of Mrs. and SSgt. daughter Billy Gibbens. Miss Hamblin is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vera Hamblin. Miss Yaunt is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Yaunt. The event, sponsored by the Clearfield Kiwanis Club, will be in the Clearfield High School. A slight admission will be charged. The Readers Digest Association presents the annual awards to senior high school students throughout the United States who are the highest honor students of their graduating class and to citizenship and continued contact with good reading after graduation. Mr. Rasmussen, a disabled veteran who served during the Korean Conflict, will head the organization for the next year. His goal will be to aid all disabled veterans, their widows and dependents who may be in need of help. A native of Preston, Idaho, Mr. Rasmussen is married to the former Ann Bird of Mendon, Utah.
