Covington XilM l Gretchen Greiner Chris Canfield fr Becky Barta Barbee Barta Debutantes to be Honored at Ball Eight lovely young ladies will make their formal entrance into society on April 25 at a debutante's ball at the Hill AFB of-fice- rs' dub. Sponsoring the event, which begins at 7 p.m., will be the Officers' Wives Club. The girls, dressed in white, will walk through a floral archway decorated with ivy and white As each young lady enters the band will play her favorite tune. 1st Lt. Edward Gassman, president of the Junior Officers' Council, will present each girl. Her father will be standing by to escort her to Col. W. L. Pendergraft, Ogden Air Materiel area vice commander and Mrs. Pendergraft. Each girl in turn will be given a bouquet of red rose by Colonel Pendergraft and a memento by Mrs. Pendergraft a charm disc with the giri'a initials engraved on it To be presented are: Barbee and Becky Barta, daughters of Col. and Mrs. John J. Barta. Barbee, age 19, is attending Utah State University as is her sister Becky, age 20. Barbec'a hobbies are sewing, clothes design, and snow- - and water sldingr. Becky has the same hobbies but has added ice skating to her list. Barbee plans on being a fashion coordinator whfle Becky is hoping to be a teacher and counselor. Colonel Barta is Chief of Commodities Procurement. Chris Canfield, daughter of Lt. Col. and Mrs. John O. Canfield. Upon graduation from Clearfield High School, Miss Canfield plans to attend Brigham Young University to be a school teacher. She enjoys music, parties and de signing. Colonel Canfield is deputy commander of the 2952nd CLSS. Marilyn R. Covington, age 17, daughter of Col. and Mrs. James C. Covington. Miss Covington is presently a senior at St Mark's Prep School in Salt Lake City. Her hobbies are tennis and snow and Colonel Covington is chief of Aircraft Missiles years and her hobbies are bowling, skiing and sewing. Gretchen Greiner, age 17, Division. daughter of Col. and Mrs. Paul E. Greiner. Miss Greiner is atPhyllis Greene, daughter of Lt. Col. and Mrs. tending Utah State University Robert W. Greene (USAF Ret) and plans on being a speech of Clearfield. She attended pathologist on graduation.
