The officer made significant contributions to the Maj. Gen. T. Alan Bennett, Ogden AMA commander, presented the first oak leaf cluster to the Legion of Merit to Brig. Gen. Howard W. Moore, deputy to General Bennett. General Bennett awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal to Lt. Col. Frederick J.
