Mr. and Mrs. Bill Johnson and family, Bobbie Lee and Johnny, were guests Sunday, February 22, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Her-man Lundberg of Murray. Mrs. Ruby Knudsen, Mrs. Vivian Ray, Mrs. Melba Sadler and Mrs. LaVon Larson were luncheon guests Wednesday of Mrs. Minerva Smith of Salt Lake City. Entre Nous Club met last Thursday Thurs-day at the home of Mrs. Dean Ham of West Jordan. Prizes at bridge were won by Mrs. Axel Sybrowsky, first; Miss Kay Braun, second; Mrs. Miles Caythwaite, consolation, and Mrs. Hyman Smernoff, draw. Other members present were Mrs. W. C. L. Cunliffe were Mrs. Chauncey Webb and Mrs Jack Densley of Sandy. Mrs. Beulah Bennett of Card.iton, Alberta, Canada, and her daughter and son in law, Mr. and Mrs. De-wayne De-wayne Rolson and children, Jackie and Mark, of Granger visited Wed- lovely 12 o'clock luncheon was served after which the afternoon was spent playing bridze. Prizes wera won by Mrs. Helen Sullenger, Mrs. Frank Finnas and Mrs. Joe Bithell. Copperton MIA presented their play Tuesday at the wardhouse. Following the play, the cast held a party at the home of Betty Mae Winn. A lovely dinner was prepared prepar-ed and games were played. Those attending were Dennis Nichols, Linda Smernoff, Michael Carrigan, Betty Winn, Maynard Berg, Lynn Johnson, Russell Boulton, John Johnson, Gary Cole, Kathy Crellin, Sandra Kanniainen, Colleen Hark-er, Hark-er, Mrs. Carolyn Dunford and Mrs. Carolyn Huntsman. A lovely time was had by all. Mrs. Lyle Long returned home Sunday after a ttwo and a half months stay in California visiting with her daughter, Mrs. Joe A. Frisch and family. Mrs. Bill Johnson was hostess recently re-cently to a family dinner held in honor of her daughter, Bobbie Lee, prior to her leaving to attend school in Los Angeles, Calif. Those present were Mrs. Hannah Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Eskel Johnson of West Jordan, Mrs. Jennie Erickson and son, Johnny, and Parley Jones. A lovely stork shower was given Wednesday, February 25, for Mrs. Dennis Miller of Salt Lake City by Misses Marjorie Sax,. Edith DeCol, Shirlee Johnson, Janice Nix and Linda Abplanalp at the home of Miss Abplanalp. Guests present were Mrs. Ray Olsen, Mrs. Evan Miller and daughter Donna of Bingham, Bing-ham, Nikki Jones, Sharon Peterson, Joan Fike, Patricia Curtis, Pearl Milner of Copperton, Lynn Boren, Susan Carter, Mrs. Connie Fike of Bingham, Sophie Kampros of West Jordan, Connie Tanner of Midvale and Elsie Stoker of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Miller and baby son, Dennis Scott, of Salt Lake City are spending a few weeks with Mrs. Miller's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Olsen and daughter, Sherry. Thursday Mrs. Dewey Wright and Mrs. Louis DeCol enjoyed bowling with their daughters, Beverly Bev-erly and Joyce of Salt Lake City. They later dined at Harman's Cafe where they celebrated Beverly's birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Louis DeCol visited visit-ed Wednesday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Earl DeCol and children, Randy, Lynette, Jerry and Shelly Fae of Riverton STUDY GUILD TO MEET MONDAY NIGHT Copperton Study Guild meets this Monday evening, March 9, at 8 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Helen Granquist with Mrs. Emily Ablett as co-hostess. A program on civil defense will be presented by Mrs. Burbidge of Murray. All members are invited. Mr. and Mrs. Ceorge Dahlstrom had as dinner guests Sunday Mrs. Alice Cunningham, Thomas Simper and Mr and Mrs. H. L. Goff. Mrs. Bonnie Malan returned home Thursday after a stay in the hospital where she recuperated from an attack of arthritis. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Johnson and daughter, Bobbie Lee and Mrs. Jennie Erickson left last Friday night for Los Angeles, Calif., to take Bobbie Lee there where she will attend the California Airlines School at Hollywood. She enrolled in the school Monday. While there the visitors stayed with Mrs. Erick-son's Erick-son's daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Homer McDonnell and family, fa-mily, Karen, Michael and Gene of Whittier. Sunday the Johnsons were guests of Mrs. Johnson's brother, bro-ther, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Jones and daughter, Pamela, . of Baldwin Heights. While in the vicinity they also visited with three aunts, Mrs. Kate Hall, Mrs. Mora Robinson and Mrs. Will Rose. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson John-son and Mrs Erickson returned home Wednesday morning from the coast. Mrs. H. R. Gust entertained the afternoon birthday club at her home on Thursday of last week. A |
