Guest of honor was George Hicks and his wife, Zenda. Top officials from Supply were also in attendance. A goodbye gift of an outdoors chaise lounge was presented to him. Mr. Hicks has worked at Hill AFB since July 1, 1942. He first staited in stock records and at the time of his retirement was senior Aqua System Operator. He has 21 years civil service to his credit which includes time with the Department of Interior and in the Army during 'World War I. SMITH COMPANY Two Hil Air Force Base employees were recently interviewed on television in connection with "Na- tional Employ the Physically Handicapped Week." Appearing on the Gordon Owen's show were Roy C. Freeman, Chief Employee Services Section, Civilian Personnel Division, and Gerald Keogh, Instrument Repair Section, Directorate of Maintenance. Mr. "Freeman mentioned that it is Air Force policy to hire physically handicapped persons in positions for which they qualify. He stated that Hill's experience with these people" has proven that they are useful and productive workers and perform very well when properly placed. a civilian employee at the Hawaiian Air Depot.
