The playoff slated for the Meadowbrook neSSVn S&1 Lake will be held afternoon. The other match, also forthcoming, is the match between the basechallenge and civimilitary lian golf teams. We still don't quite know who challenged who or which team is likely to win, but it should be quite a match. It too will be played at Meadowbrook at a still undetermined date. Anyone for Basketball? Joe' Hess, Chief of Special Services and coach of the Hill Hornet's basketball team reports that the turn out for basketball tryouts is so far disappointing. There are only five returning lettermen, so spots on the team including starting positions are up for grabs. Basketball has for the past few years been one sport in which the Hornets have shone and Joe is hoping that this year is no exception. So Joe urges that all military personnel who are in any way interested in playing basketball contact him at the gym and try out for this year's team. Leo Chavarie, bowling alley manager, is quite pleased over the enthusiasm shown so far by the parents' for the Hill AFB Kid's League. The league which is made up of dependents of base miltary personnel, was organized last Thursday and bowling got underway. Many of the top mili tary bowlers on the base were on hand to personally start their kids out in their "bowling footsteps." All dependents up to 18 years of age are eligible to join the league which will bowl at 5 p.m. At the end of the regular season the kids will be divided into two divisions, the Bantams for all kids up to 13 years of age and the Juniors for kids up to 18. The teams will compete in their divisions in Nationwide Junior Bowling Congress Tournament. This is the third year for the Kid's League with Sgt. Chavarie the driving force behind the league each year. A bouquet to Sgt. Chavarie for his work with the dependents of the military. High 89'ers LAYTON, UTAH Lt. Gene Thayer and Lt.
