Show NCO Mess and Annex No. 1 RE-WEAVI- SPEEDING? FAILURE TO GIVE HAND SIGNALS? To Be Combined The DOING-HER..SHA- Officers and Annex Number One are being combined into one swank club, Master Sergeant William Bel!, r, ed Mess announced Secretary-Treasure- to- day. All club facilities now housed in the annex will be transferred from that building to the NCO mess. After completion of the merging of the two clubs, all non-coactivities will center around the mess, Sgt. Bell said. The NCO mess is undergoing complete rennovation. It will feature two bars, complete dining facilities, a large ballroom, and a .small dance floor. The main fountain room is being m enlarged by square feet, approximately 200 and will feature harmonizing colors and new drapes. The secondary bar will be built into what was formerly the old game room, and will be finished in black, gold, and chartruse. Corrugated glass and other fixtures from the annex will be employed for the finishing touches. The kitchen facilities are being completely rearranged to allow fast service. The main ballroom will he papered and The ceiling will be studded with glistening, make-beliestars. Wallpaper will be used extensively throughout the re-drap- ve club. Mabel is proud of her Air Force captain son, Dovre Gottschalk who has earned his rotation from duty with the 51st Fighter Intercepter Wing in Korea after two years. Dovre called his mom, who lives at 3349 Quincy Ave., Ogden, saying he had landed in the states and would soon be home, to see her before taking over a post at Walker AFB. VETERAN SCOUTER From a tenderfoot in Kansas back in 1910 to Institutional Representative of Troop 77, Wasatch District, sponsored by Layton Post 87 of the American Legion. Yep, that's 42 years, the time Floyd W. Shumway has been actively interested in and participating in the Boy Scout Movement. And as if that were not enough, Mr. Shumway is also acting as secretary and treasurer, of the Wasatch District and is a member of the Ogden Area Scout Council. In fact, he has worked with teenage clubs or sons of the American Legion Squadrons back in Kansas as well as in Utah. Mr. Shumway, who lives in Layton, earns his living by working as a planner for vehicle repair section in maintenance production control. ALL OVER THE HILL Jessie Cable, technical order unit is back on the job after a brief vacation with her husband, Sergeant Cable who is stationed at McClelland AFB awaiting further assignment. Reed Martin no longer identifies himself with the technical order unit, maintenance. You'll find him working on unsatisfactory reports in the UR control office.
