The new license holder will be smaller than the old one, permitting the sportsman to carry it in a medium sized bill fold when it is not being worn on outer clothing. The new holder measures 2 58 by 3 1116 inches as compared with the old one that measured 3rA by 4 1116 inches. The visible license number slips in the new holder much-easiethan was the case with the old one. The case is also frosted. The old holder reflected light and was objected to by waterfowl hunters. A much better arrangements has also been devised to attach the license to the outer clothing." Of most interest to law enforcement officials is the fact that the new license wilj have a fool proof deer tag. It is to be made of a very tough material, referred to as "Wet strength tag board." It is equipped with a positive locking device, One of the features of the last deer tag that worried the law enforcement officials and the better sportsmen was the fact it had no locking device. There is some evidence that some of. the old style tags were used more, than once. . "AH sportsmen who purchased last year's permanent license numbers will only need purchase their hunting and fishing stamps. These will be stuck on the original license number. The old permanent number will fit in the new license hold- er. Receipt of Trout Eggs Two million Eastern Brook trout eggs have been received by the Utah State Fish and Game Department. They come from commercial m to a fast start in the Northwestern Air B'orce Basketball Tournament by taking two impressive victories in their first two starts. On the first night of the tourney, February 11th, the Hornets tangled with the Great Falls, Mont., and eked out a 66 to 64 victory. A new comer to the Hill quintet, Willie Glover, of Macon, Ga., made a sensational debut by whipping 34 points through tho nets. The. 6'3" Glover overshadowed the 19 points that Hill's work horse, Jerry Mitchell, dumped in. The next nights show was all Mitchell though, as Jerry scorched .he strings with 37 points and led the Hornets to a 78 to 59 victory over, the Portland AFB entry. Mitchell dazzling display set a one game point record for the tournament and made him the high point man with 56 for the two games. Hill's hoopsters drew a bye Wednesday night and turned to action Thursday night against Ladd AFB, Alaska. Results of that game were not available at press time. Because of their impressive showing in the first two victories, the Hill aggregation is now the favorite to take the tourney. The winner of the Northwestern Air Force Conference Tournament will represent that conference in the World Wide Air Force Tournament at Offutt. AFB, Oinaha, Nebraska.
