BROAD RECREATION ACTIVITIES Hill Air Force base now offers activities to suit every airman's taste. Two hobby shops are now open. Building across from the main PX has an excellent woodworking shop, complete with power tools. This shop, open from 1300 to 1800 on Saturdays and Sundays and from 1700 to 2100 during the week, will have model air craft building and leather- crait available in the near future. The automobile shop, located in building is open every day from 0900 to 2100. This shop has just about everything you need to keep your car in good shape, up to and including a welding outfit. At the prsent time, there is a shortage of hand tools, but this should be reme died in the near future. The base gym, recently remodeled and brought up to tip-to- p shape, is open every day from 0730 to 2100 except week ends. When it is available from 1200 to 1800. All you need is a pair of gym trunks and shoes. The games include basketball, badminton, handball, and others. To loosen up, there are punching bags, weights, and other muscle machines. The officers, N.C.O. and Service clubs feature everything from dances to Sunday dinners. Schedules of events are available on bulletin boards. The Base Library has available approximately 10,000 books and periodicals for those who wish to read for knowledge or pleasure. The is open from 0730 to 2100 during week days, and from 1200 to 1800 on Saturdays and Sundays. The bowling alley is open for. open bowling every Friday, Saturday and Sunday,, and every week-da- y evening after the league completes the evening contest. The alley has six Brunswick alleys in operation, and shoes may be rented for a dime. Price is twenty cents a line.
