The prayer was read by Mrs. V. A. Beck and the Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mrs. Frank Brough. The program topic for the evenwas ing was on. Civil Rights, and Caz-ier. .presented by Mrs. Gerald and pertinent Highlights Treatment of (Doints gaven were: Negroes in different states and parts of the country; the astounding growth of the Negro population in recent years; provisions and effect the recently awarded "right to vote" for Negroes (which the Civil Rights Bill provides) has had and will have upon the election of public officials into office. She traced and outlined growth and development of Negroes into educational, professional and cultural fields. Members serve as hostesses in turn, and likewise participate in the various other duties from time to time as as signed by the president or the program committee.
