WUy r Morvton v , CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT A JOINT RESOLUTION PROPOSING TO AMEND SECTIONS 2, 3 AND 4 OF ARTICLE IX OF THE CONSTITUTION OF UTAH BY CHANGING THE CONSTITUTION OF THE LEGISLATURE MAKING EACH COUNTY OF THE STATE A SKNATOL DISTRICT, BY REAPPORTIONING REPRESENTATIVES AMONG THE SEVERAL COUNTIES OF THE STATE ACCORD ING TO THE 1950 CENSUS, AND BY AUTHORIZING THE LEGISLATURE TO DECREASE AS WELL AS THE INCREASE NUMBER OF REPRESENTA TIVES. Be it resolved by the legislature of of the State of Utah, all members elected to each house concurring therein: Section 1. It is proposed to amend Sees. 2, 3 and 4 of Article IX of the Constitution of Utah to two-thir- read: Section 2. The Legislature shall .provide by law for an enumeration of the inhabitants of the State, JA. D. 1906, and every tenth year thereafter, and at the session next 'following audi enumeration, and also at the session next following an enumeration made by the au thority of the United States, shall revise and adjust the apportionment for representatives on the basis of such enumeration to ratio to be fixed by law. Section 3. The Senate shall con slst of one member from each coun ty f the State, and the Housee of of seventy-fivRepresentatives members. The Legislature may in crease or decrease the number of representatives, but the number of representatives shall never be less than twice nor greater than three times the number of senators. Section 4. Each county of thfr state shall constitute a senatorial district. REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICTS. Until otherwise provided by law, representatives shall be apportioned among the several counties of the State as follows: Provided, That in any future apportionment made by the Legislature, each county shall be entitled to at least one representative.
