Anderson assumed duties as president of the Fine Arts club for the coming club year at the meeting held last Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. Gertrude Foote. Mrs. Earl II. Steele, chairman of the year book, outlined a busy winter of activity. .Mrs. Anderson gave a timely message in her opening address of which she directed attention to the year book's prayer or Collect. In part she said that she would likol the club to spend a year together! in friendliness, and growing big-- ! ger and better through experienc- es. It was her hope that the club' work would stimulate interest and action for the welfare of our com-- ! munity. Refreshments were serv-- j ed by the officers to the following; members: Mrs. P. N. Mr. and Mrs. Homer Carver received a phone call Sunday from their son Gary, who has been stationed at Fort Ord, California.
