Show The pheasant hunt has brought a good many hunters Into our area. The rain storm we had Saturday sorta dampened both hunters and birds, but not the spirits of these hardy folks, there were plenty of hunters trailing around In the mud. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Kelly spent Thursday and Friday visiting vis-iting their son Ladd and his family and checking with the Doctor. Mrs. Stella Hawley spent a week visiting her children In Bountiful. One day she spent with her brother and his wife, Newal and Hortense Cahoon In Logan. She also went to see Llberace. She returned home Thursday just In time to get her apron on and get ready for pheasant hunters. Her children Bob and Louise Carllng and their children, Paul, Kim and Kristlne, from Bountiful arrived ar-rived Friday evening. Bill Clark and Paul Miller and Paul's s.ons, from Bountiful Bounti-ful Larry and Kirk visited at the Fon Hawley home and hunted pheasants Saturday. Vaughn and Ann Marie Man-kin Man-kin from Salt Lake are visiting visit-ing their mother, Mrs. Beth . pay. Ann Marie has been here a week and will stay a while longer. Howard Roundy and Eldon Rowley made a trip to Las Vegas last Tuesday to move furniture and household items . for Mrs. Nell Callister who is going to make her home there. They returned home Wednesday just in time to celebrate cele-brate Howard's birthday. I Mr. and Mrs. Don Williams and family from Midvale were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Gillen over the weekend. We were happy to have them attendSundaySchool in our Ward. Dean and Don are cousins. Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Skeem and family from Salt Lake visited vis-ited their parents, Mr. and tyrs. Clifton Skeem over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Daryl Cropper and daughters, Kelly, Kathy, Julie and Jill, from Las Vegas visited parents, Oscar andlnez Kelly in Oasis, and Hon and Erma Cropper in Hinckley. t Corwin and Nora Nielson and sons, Douglas, Steven and La-Vell, La-Vell, from Clinton, Utah visited vis-ited Friday and Saturday with Bp. Russell and Jennie Styler and family. Nora and Jennie afe sisters. Of course, the ; men folk went out hunting. Mr. and Mrs. David Stevens and daughter Jennifer, from Salt Lake, and Chris Stevens from Genola, spent the weekend week-end with their grandparents, Norve and Ella Chrlstensen. Roger Spears from Salt Lake was also at the Chrlstensens. Bill Day who is employed in Salt Lake and his fiancee, Miss Connie Welch who is attending school at BYU spent the weekend week-end with Bill's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Don Day. Mrs. Evva Cahoon spent a week in Las Vegas visiting her children, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Cahoon and Lucille and Duane Smith and their families. fam-ilies. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kent and Mrs. Arvilla Barney from Salt Lake spent the weekend at the home of Glen and Eathel Skeem. Mr. and Mrs. Kent are EathePs parents and Mrs. Barney Bar-ney Is her aunt. Gary Webb and sons, Russell and Jody, from Spanish Fork, also visited at theGlenSkeems residence. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Roundy entertained at a pre-thanks-giving dinner Sunday. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Hon Cropper, Crop-per, Mr. and Mrs. Galyn Cropper Crop-per and family from Hinckley, Doug Turner and three boys, (Connie was still in the hospital, hos-pital, congratulations to them on the birth of a little girl.) Mr. andMrs. Forrest Taylor Tay-lor and children, Kim and Sandy from Las Vegas came up Friday Fri-day . Kim and Sandy stayed with their grandparents, Norve and Ella Christensen. They returned home Sunday. Many friends and relatives called in to wish Evelyn Hawley Haw-ley a happy birthday last Wednesday. Wed-nesday. We wish her many happy returns of the day. Don Day drove the bus that took 44 senior citizens from East and West Millard to Salt Lake to hear and see Llberace at the Valley Music Hall last Friday. Elders Walter Hales and Lee Tippltts gave talks and Mrs. Warren Peterson sang a solo she was accompanied by Shauna Johnson at the piano. Miss Maurlne MacNair, Elder Hales' friend, gave a talk also. Reed Tippetts brought us a message from the Stake Presidency, Pres-idency, encouraging us to be more considerate and more concerned about our fellow men. To become Involved in the "I care" program. Mr. Warren Peterson and little boy, and Mrs. Donna Johnson and Mrs. Reed Tippltts Tip-pltts were to our meeting also. Voy Stewart from Salt Lake spent Saturday with his folks Mr. and Mrs. David Nichols and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Nichol. Judy Johnson, representing the Relief Society Stake Board, visited our meeting last Tuesday. Tues-day. Shane Rowley was accidently shot Saturday while hunting. The pellets that hit his chest didn't penltrate clear through his clothing but left big red spots, but his arms weren't covered so well and the Dr. had to remove some shot from them. This accident could of been real serious had it hit his face. Greater care will probably be exercised in gun safety by this group of hunters in the future, we hope. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Anderson Ander-son and son fro mDugway spent the weekend with their parents Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Anderson. Ross and Joyce McDermaid and three children from Logan spent the weekend with their mother, Ethel M. Stanworth. Richard Howell was home from Dixie College over the weekend. LaFaun and Eldon Lovell of Eureka visited their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Bishop a couple of hours last Wednesday. Wednes-day. Mrs. Nella Coplin left last Thursday to returnto her home in Fullerton, Calif, after staying stay-ing an extra week with her father J. Val Styler. Rex Stanworth and his girl friend Ri Michelle Horman from school at Cedar came up Friday to visit the Duane Stan-, Stan-, worth s. Friday .afternoon Jim, Stanworth and Barbara Bliss, Rex and Rl Michelle, drove to Ogden to visit an hour or two with their sister, Janet Pearson. Pear-son. They stopped in Salt Lake and had dinner with Ri Michelle's parents, and returned re-turned home that evening, so as to be ready for the pheasant hunt Saturday morning. Patsy and Cherrie Stanworth stayed with Duane andllaStan-worth andllaStan-worth over the weekend while her furniture was being moved to Provo where they will make their home. Patsy has been transferred to the FirstSecur-ity FirstSecur-ity Bank up there. Mr. and Mrs. Harris Mills from Salt Lake have been staying stay-ing in Delta nights, but spend the days with the Stanworth's. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Duckett and two children and Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Bell and two children chil-dren had their trailer houses parked in Duane 's yard so it looked like a young city down there. The widows from our community com-munity who enjoyed :he party the Lion's Club of Hinckley gave last Thursday were Mrs. Ethel (Alfred) Stanworth, Mrs. Irene Stanworth, Mrs. Beth Day Mrs. . Isabelle Wadsworth and Mrs. Leona Anderson. They all had a wonderful time. We are sorry that Mrs. Dan Willoughby is in the West Millard Mil-lard Hospital, we wish her a speedy recovery. Loenza Willoughby Wil-loughby is staying in Delta taking tak-ing care of the three children. It pays to come to town, just saw Brown and SavallaSanford from Panguitch. I also saw Thelma Dutson and Wilma Wixom from Oak City. Even Ruth Bishop was there, now I know these people all want their names in the paper. We all met in the Del-mart Del-mart and Wanda Beckwith was there too. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Ivo Ogden over the weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Miller and children of St. George, and Mr. and Mrs. Rondal Mecham and family of Orem. Boyd Miller Mil-ler of Logan Kim and Steven DeLeeuw of Salt Lake. All came for the pneasant hunt. Amee DeLeeuw of Salt Lake is staying with her grandparents, grandpar-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Ivo Ogden while her mother Arlene DeLeeuw De-Leeuw has had back surgery Mrs. Ogden and Amee visited in Salt Lake last week. Arlene is now at home but will be bed fast for some time yet. DESERET Our congratulations are ex- tended to Mr. A, T. Black and Mrs. Mable C. Black who were united in marriage on Tuesday Nov. 3. The wedding ceremony was preformed by Bishop Orln Allred at the home of James and Luclle Sampson. Verle Black acted as best man and Luclle Sampson was maid of honor. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Cahoon from Magna spent Saturday and Sunday with ,Blaine's mother Myrle C. Bennett. Bishop and Mrs. Orin Allred were in Salt Lake Thursday on business. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Cropper Crop-per received word Saturday that a baby boy had arrived at the Cedar Hospital to Roger and Gaylyn Davis. At Sacrament meeting Sunday evening Mrs. Donna Anderson read a letter from Roger who had addressed his letter to the ward. Roger is with the armed forces in Viet Nam. ARTHRITIS FOUNDATION Because of current interest in public health education, a series of Arthritis Seminars has, .been planned to acquaint the public with the adcea; being made in arthritis' re-' search and to offer hope for the person who visits his doctor doc-tor at the earliest signs of arthrjtis. In each ' of these Seminars a well qualified panel of experts in the field will discuss different dif-ferent aspects of the disease and its treatment and will welcome wel-come questions concerning new developments in research. The first in the series was held in September in Provo, the second will be Oct. 31, 1970 in Logan at the Cache Chamber of Commerce Building. Build-ing. Two more have been planned plan-ned for Richfield in Feb., and Cedar City In March, the details de-tails of which will be well publicized in advance. HINCKLEY BAZAAR The Hinckley Ward Relief Society Bazaar will be held this Friday, Nov. 13, at the Elementary School. Beginning at 6:30 p.m. supper will be served during the evening.
