LEIGH MAXFIELD opposed salary increases for County Commissioners which passed, from $100 to $200 per month for one and one-half days of official meetings per month. He. initiated the investment of County funds which has added approximately ap-proximately $10,000 per year to Millard County funds. Through efficient management while he was on the County Commission, Com-mission, the mill levy in 1965 was reduced. County valuation has increased during the past four years. . County taxes have been raised, but surplus on hand has been drastically decreased. LEIGH R. MAXFIELD Will represent ALL the Interests and People of Millard County. Pd. Pol. Adv. THOSE OF US WHO KNOW MR. RONNOW KNOW THAT HE POSSESSES THESE ATTRIBUTES TO AN UNUSUAL DEGREE - - )( He is still a young and vigorous man, but has practiced in all of Utah's State and Federal Courts for 20 years 10 years longer than his opponent. Jf In a campaign where much has been said of criminal experience, Mr. Ronnow has handled, as a State Prosecutor, in excess of 1,000 felonies, whereas his opponent in six years has handled approximately 400. -fc, Mr. Ronnow has a very active civil law practice; and in the one area of highway condemnation cases, he represented the land owners in 13 of the 20 such cases handled in western Cedar City. "K Mr. Ronnow was chosen by the Utah Supreme Court as one attorney out of 4 in the entire state to serve on a committee with the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court to draft Uniform Jury Instruitions for the use of Judges in Utah Courts. We feel that no greater tribute could be paid to any lawyer by our highest court than this. We feel that Mr. Ronnow has demonstrated in his earlier work as a prosecutor, in his untiring work in the encouragement of young people and in his un- deviating position on strict law enforcement and strict J aanerence to tne laws on narcotics, inat ne wouia oring to the bench the highest and strictest committments in these very serious matters. Mr. Ronnow's opponent asked the voters of this district to elect him to the office of Disrict Attorney with the commitment that he would serve them well. He is apparently becoming skillful in that job. Now -halfway through a term in that office, he wants to abandon that experience which is so valuable to the people and ask them to name him as District Judge. We feel that this is imprudent and that it is unfair to the people. , Ye HAVE a good prosecuting attorney - Let's keep him Yhat we NEED is a good Judge - VOTE For MATURITY, VIGOR, WISDOM EXPERIENCE RUTH HANS EN-DELTA LaMAR MONROE - SCIPIO BURN1S FIN'LINSON- OAK CITY HAROLD MORRIS -HINCKLEY BEN ROBISON - SUTHERLAND INEZ RIDING DELTA LOA BLACK DELTA RICH FINLINSON- LEAMINGTON PEGGY OVERSON- DELTA CHERIE MORRIS -HINCKLEY CAROLE WARNICK-DESERET MR.
