Fred Williams returned to the service a short time ago at' Fort Riley, Kansas. Last week, his wife, Vorlene and their two sons, David Scott and Brendan joined them there. Verlene's brother, Kent, drove them back to Kansas. Margaret and Frank Wilde and two children, Stacy and Lisa are spending three days here this week from Salt Lake with Margaret's parents, the George Eklns. Angie and Dana Pratt and Macy, visited relatives and i'r lends In Hinckley last week. Dana went hunting with George Eklns. Art Bishop was home from school with his family on the weekend, Mr. and Mrs. Ren Taylor went down to Overton. Nev. last Tuesday to take their trailer. They are going back in the near future to spend the winter there. On the way back to Hinckley, they stopped in Beaver to see Ren's sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Mulr. Mr. Reed Eklns and his brother bro-ther Elmer were in Hinckley Sunday. They visited with Lowell Petersen. They live at Payson. There has been several cases of the flu in town the past couple of weeks. I visited at the Elementary School and enjoyed seeing all the clever and colorful things the students have mad for Halloween time. Rook Club was held at Nina Mechams this week. Guests were: Golda Talbot, Elaine Hardy, prizes wore won by Faun Dillenbeck, Lois Wilson and Erma Cropper. The Carl Dutsons attended a funeral inSaltLakeon Wednesday. Wednes-day. Glenna Rae Taylor called her folks, the Glenn Taylorsonher birthday, Oct. 18, 1970, from Hawaii. Glenna Rae is attending attend-ing the Church College of Hawaii at Lail. She is getting along well and likes it very much. Nels Petersen was here this week to see his folks, the Lowell Petersens. He come a week ago Thursday and left on Thursday last week. He has been in Albuquerque New Me.t. on his job as a jockey at race tracks; he has gone home to Phoenix, Ariz. The Jerry (Kathryn Webb) Martins children of Salt Lake stayed with their grandparents, the Robert Webbs' for a few days last week. Their folks came down and got them. Clara and Steve Posey and son, Mark returned to their home in Castro Valley, Calif. Friday after visiting here with the Dewey Carpenters and his folks at Cedar City, Blaine and Harriet Spendlove and girls of Kaysville, Ted an1 wife were all down last week. They went out on the deer hunt. Vaun Bennett of Salt Lake came down also for the deer hunt. Last week, Marlon Warnick, his wife Loal stopped in here tp see Marion's brother, Waldo and family. Bp. Leonard Palmer has been ill. We hope he will be feeling better soon, Ted Dennlson and his wife have been to Calif, seeing some of their relatives. In the Los Angles area, they visited two of Ted s sisters and one of Mrs. Dennlson's , also some nephews and nelces of Ted's. At Fresno, they visited a sister and they then went on to Cupertino Cuper-tino where they saw Ted's son, Orthell and family. They were gone almost two weeks. Jeannle and Leo Eklns and their two children of Boston, Mass., are here spending a couple of weeks with relatives. Mrs. Janeve Chapman recently re-cently returned home from Alaska after spending several weeks there with relatives. She spent two months at Fairbanks with he nelce, Jane Huntsman (Ted Dennlson' s daughter) her husband Richard and family. At Ancorage, she visited a nephew Evan Swenson (Betty Dodge's boy), his wife and family, and also a neice Eunice McCurdv. Mrs. Betty Jane Morris and girls, Mary Kae, Roslyn and Sheila, Betty's Mother and Margaret Roper went up to see the Cinderella Ballet at Kingsbury Hall. It was very wonderful, Betty reports, the Utah Symphony and all was very thrilling to see and hear. Funeral of Carl's cousin, who was killed in a car accident last week. Her daughters were seriously Injured and others were also injured. DESERET Blaine and Maa Cropper visited vis-ited last Sunday at Fillmore with Mae's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ward Stevens. Mr. and Mrs. Ormus L. Dutson Dut-son attended Funeral Services on Wednesday at Kearns 15th LDS Ward Chapel for Mrs. Marlene Hansen Peterson, who was killed Oct. 18 in an auto accident. Burial was at Valley View Memorial Park. Marlene was a nelce of Mr. Dutson. Clyde Waller and son Jim, and a friend of Clyde's from Calif, came up for the deer hunt. They were hunting with Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln Cropper and Mr. and Mrs, Vincent Cropper. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Webb of Grand Junction, Colo, became parents on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 1970, to a baby daughter. Tuls Is the Webb's first child. Proud grandparents are Spencer and Alice Webb of Deseret and Mr. and Mrs. Grayson Roper of Oak City-Chad City-Chad and Joan Anderson and daughter from Ogdon spent the weekend with Chad's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ike Anderson. Mrs. Bessie Webb was hostess hos-tess on Thursday evening to the Deserel Rook Club at the home of Lucile Sampson. Luncheon was served. One High Rook was played.
