Gordon is the son of Mrs. Geraldine Blomquisc and the late Dee Wright. Leslie and Dennis Johnson of Salt Lake were here on the week end visiting with Dorothy Damron and family. Nina and Ken Mecham spent last weekend with their children in Orem, Ron and family, Dorothy and Brooks Robison and children. Don and Cherie Morris were up north on the weekend. Mrs. Golda Talbot left Monday to go to Delta, Colo, to visit her daughter and family, Ila and Dale Little and children. We have been shocked at the deaths of two of our young people, Scott Swensen and Jim Mace and our heartfelt sympathy goes out to their families in their losses. Clara Stewart's daughter, Mary Abbott and family of Spanish Fork visited Clara a day during the week for her birthday. Lyla Rae and Larry Morris went to Salt Lake on Sunday. Paul and Joyce Shearer and family fam-ily have moved from our town to Delta where they bought the Scott IvJe home Mrs. Clara Stewart received word j this week that her son, Don at j Thousand Oaks, Calif, has been seriousiy injured in an automobile accident, when a teenage unlicen- sed driver ran headon Into him. Don suffered severe Injuries about his face, a broken nose. He was unconscious for thirty hours and in the operating room five hours. He has now regained consciousness. Vera and Heber Bishop who have spent the winter months in Calif, with their children are now in Bountiful staying with their daughters, daugh-ters, Janeth and Sylvia. Jan Chapman Chap-man who spent the winter in Calif, with them arrived home in Hinckley Hinck-ley Sunday. Sunday all of the Hon Cropper family was together, Darrell and Ann Cropper and girls of Las Vegas, Mary Ellen and Aaron Evans and two children who just arrived in Utah from Washington, D. C, also Connie and Doug Turner and boys, Glenda and Howard Roundy and family, Gaylen and Kathy and three children. They had a dinner together that day. Mrs. Clara Stewart was pleasantly pleasant-ly surprised for her 80th birthday last Tuesday when a group of friends arrived at her home that evening. They brought refreshments refresh-ments and a gift. We join them in wishing Clara a happy birthday, a lady who is a very young 80 years of age. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Theobald had a phone call Sunday morning from their son, Merlin in Calif, telling them they had a new grandson, '. making four grandsons and one. granddaughter in Merlin and Beu-' lah's family. The "Bishop's Shirt" which has been circulating around town to all the homes on which families have been putting their donations, for the ward building fund under patches, has finished making the j rounds of the town and all of the' patches removed and the money tabulated Sunday after church. This week we had irrigation water in the ditches for the first watering of the year. J Cleone, Arlene, two girls and two ! boys were at Golda Talbots 'Easter Sunday. Our cleanup cmapaign still has a long way to go before we can say our job is well done. John and Rachel Wright came for the Homecoming and visited at. the Rodney Wrights. Our town roads have received a lot of improvement this week with j gravel being hauled into badly needed spots. Thursday evening the married folks group in town, met again at. the home of Harold and Anna Lee Hepworth. On the committee for, the party were Anna Lee, Mrs.' Betty Gordon and Jane Ekins.! Games and refreshments were enjoyed en-joyed by about twenty folks. Monday evening the Relief So- cicty held a work session at the church. This new evening time is experimental, with so many members mem-bers working during the day and many others having small children, ' this evening time seemed to be quite practical. If successful, it will be continued. ' Visitors at Sunday School Sunday morning were Mrs. Bruce Lovell, Lyman Finlinson and David Church. Rulon and Bonnie Western of Provo visited with Rulon's father, Alma Western. Also Evan and Olive Western of Dugway and their daughter Marilyn and husband from the east were here to see him. James Mace had been killed in action In Vietnam. Jim is the son of Doyle and Martha Mace and had only been in Vietnam since the 28th of Feb. Funeral arrangements are pending at this time. Our sincere sympathy Is extended to the entire Mace family. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Torrens, Sr. are proud grandparents once again with the arrival of a baby daughter daugh-ter to Douglas and LaRita Torrens at Long Mont, Colo. There was a brother and two sisters at home to welcome the new arrival. Ralph and Barbara Conk of Kearns were down over the week end taking care of their farming interest here. Bert and Lucille Hales went to St. George over the weekend to visit with Maurice and Rawlene Gubbler and baby daughter. Glen and Genevieve Larsen and three children of Spanish Fork visited Sunday at the homes of Phil and Lincoln Eliason Sidney Cahoon who is attending college at Cedar spent the week end with parents, Mr. and Mrs. Meith Ogden. Last Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Glen Coleman of California and Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Black of Ogden were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Sampson. Mrs. Elaine Moody and two children chil-dren spent the weekend at St. George visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Schmutz. Mr. and Mrs. James Sampson took Mrs. Mable Black to Ogden Saturday. They spent the day visiting with relatives.
