While they were out, they traveled on to Taylorsville to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Klm-ber Klm-ber to see the new little baby boy of the Boyd Kimbers. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Warlnskl and family of North Salt Lake also joined them there for a nice visit. Mr. and Mrs. S. 0. Stoddard had their family home Sunday to welcome wel-come home their son, Steven from his mission. Steven just returned re-turned from two years in the Canadian-Alaskan mission field. Those present to visit and enjoy a family dinner together were Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Jones of Oak City, Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Jones of Santlquin, Mr. and Mrs. Bryant Jones and family and Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Jones all of Sutherland, Suther-land, Miss Kathy Stoddard of USU in Logan and Miss Debra Stoddard Stod-dard and cousin, Sherrie Stoddard Stod-dard of BYU in Provo. They all attended church Sunday evening in the 2nd Ward where Steven reported his mission experiences. Mr. and Mrs. Doc Black spent some time In Salt Lake last week for a checkup on Mr. Black's eyes. He recently had surgery on his eyes and is now recovering nicely. i Miss Gloria Adams and her ' fiance, Dennis Anderson, both of USU, Logan visited Sunday at Gloria's parents home with Mr. and Mrs. John Adams and Joan. Miss Joan Adams spent the weekend week-end in Provo with her sister, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Spor. She went to Provo Friday with her parents and stayed for a longer visit. She returned home on the bus Sunday Sun-day night. Mrs. Clare Stephenson (Mi-gnon (Mi-gnon Killpack) of Fillmore spent a few days- in Delta last week with her father, Mr. Marion Kill-pack. Our family certainly appreciates the love and concern everyone has shown this past week after hearing that Ray Johnson was very seriously wounded in Viet Nam. It certainly helps to know so many people really care and at times like this we realize how inportant friends really are. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Stanworth and family of Milte visited their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Stan-worth Stan-worth last weekend. Mr. Don Williams of Mldvale visited his cousin Deon Gillen last Tuesday. Opal Gillen celebrated her 10th birthday last Tuesday. 18 little friends came to help her celebrate. cele-brate. Her mother, LaVene Gillen served birthday lunch to the group. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Harris attended at-tended the funeral services for their good friend, Mrs. Ellen M. Hamilton in Salt Lake Thursday. Clark and LaVeda Bishop went to Cedar Friday to visit their children chil-dren Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Bishop and family over the weekend. I heard the other day that Norve Christensen's white hen that layed blue Easter eggs met with an accident. Someone ran over her in the street and so ends that poor hen. She'd of been quite old by next Easter anyway. Mr. Keith Stewart of Meadow spent last Friday visiting his sister sis-ter and her husband, Rose and Dave Nichols. Bishop and Mrs. Duane Erickson and three children of Manti visited visit-ed with parents, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Erickson. Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Don Evans and three children joined them for a family, dinner. j Mr. and Mrs. Arlyn Finlinson and three children spent the week end in Provo visiting. Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Farnsworth received word from their son, Curtis tha he is now recuperating at the mission home in Defast, Ireland after having had an appendectomy ap-pendectomy operation in Dublin, Ireland. i Mutual Marrieds had their fireside fire-side at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Farnsworth Sunday night. Ralph Erickson gave the lesson. Twenty people were in attendance. atten-dance. ! Mr. John Smith of Orem visited with Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Smith and family over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Anderton n Richfield Saturday. Dave and Colleen (Anderson) Otterstrom of Calif, attended funeral services for Dave's grandmother grand-mother which were held Saturday. The young couple were accompanied accom-panied by Bob Walters a friend. They stopped overnight witd Colleen's Col-leen's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Er-nest Anderson and family. Mrs. Erma Skeem spent two days in Salt Lake last week. Bruce and LeAnn Anderson and son, Mark of Dugway and Dave and Merlene Link of Salt Lake visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Anderson over the weekend. Mrs. Nedra Jackson and Mrs. Carol Nielson of Stake Sunday School Board visited our Sunday School this week. High Councilman Walter Ekins and Cutler Henrie were speakers in Sacrament meeting Sunday evening. Herbert and Naomi Harris are in Las Vegas, Nev. for a few days. Mr. Bruce Malby of Fillmore accompanied Miss Sharon Rowley Row-ley to church Sunday evening. Norval Christensen celebrated his birthday Saturday. His sister, Inga Peterson spent the day with him and Ella and Jim and lone Christensen and family were dinner din-ner guests. The members who couldn't be there telephoned to wish him happy birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Hawley spent the weekend in Salt Lake. Dick and Ann Cropper and four little girls of Las Vegas visited their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Kelly and Mr. and Mrs. Hon Cropper in Hinckley Saturday and Sunday. Mrs. Fay Sjostrom went to Calif, last Wednesday and brot her six grandchildren back with her. Their mother is in the hospital, hos-pital, so Fay is looking after them. We are sorry to hear that Hil-ding Hil-ding Sjostrom 's in the hospital. Hope he is soon able to be back home. Norman Sjostrom took his mother, Biah to Salt Lake last Wednesday for a checkup with her doctor and she seems to be doing pretty well. Norman has been called back to Cedar to work, so he's missied what with all those children to .Sutherland DORA ROSE Mrs. Laura Carter and Mrs. Merle Pugh of Salt Lake were here last week to visit with their sister, Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Moody. Some ofthe students from SUSC who sang in General Conference were Ray Johnson, son of Mrs. Betty Johnson; Dorothy DeLapp, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John DeLapp and Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Hatch (Mignon Erickson) daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Golden Erickson. Erick-son. Others from the Hinckley and Delta areas also sang. We thought they did an excellent job. Craig Frasier and friend of Alabama were visitors of Craig's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Steele. His friend will leave soon for Vietnam. Mr. and Mrs. Ike Sorensen of Salt Lake spent the weekend with their daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Dar-rell Dar-rell Christensen and family. Mr. Glen Seegmiller was a Stake Representative from the Sunday School. He is over the Teacher's Training. Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Henrie and family of Bountiful and Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Henrie and baby of Cedar were visitors of their folks, Mr. and Mrs. Cutler Henrie, John and Becky. Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Porter and family of Vernal were here to visit their folks, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Porter, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Ken-neth Porter, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Porter and Pres. and Mrs. Frank Lyamn and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Fowles and family. Mr. Lenard Owens and friend were here to visit with Lenard's folks, Mr. and Mrs. James Owens, Sandra, Ed and Marjorie. Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Green and baby are moving into the Sutherland Suther-land Ward shortly. He is the son of Mrs. Lois Green of Sugarvllle. Mr. Richard Adams will be home soon to visit with his folks, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Adams. Phillip Adams is still in the Far East with the Government He reports re-ports that he Is enjoying his work and plays ball. He will be home early in December. I guess warm weather Is just around the corner. Surely hope It comes our way soon. We were happy to see the Abraham news by our very good friend and neighbor, Mrs. Alton Fullmer. She has been 111 and we hope she will be much improved im-proved by now. Mrs. Frances Bonn attended the wedding of her granddaughter granddaugh-ter at Henderson, Nev, Norma Brady, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Brady, former residents of this area. Mr. and Mrs, Owen Benson went to Salt Lake Hast Wednesday Wednes-day with Mrs. Nina Johnson. Mr. Benson had his regular checkup for his leg. Congratulations to David Joha-son Joha-son on his achievement la rua-nlng. rua-nlng. He was placed In Oasa B at the Track Meet at Snow.
