Miss Deb Beckwith became the bride of Craig Paul Greathouse Friday, Jan. 2, 1970. The marriage was performed by Bishop Lyle Bunker at Delta First Ward. The new Mrs. Greathouse is the daughter of Mrs. Wanda Beckwith of Delta. Mr. Great-house Great-house is the son of Mrs. Margie Greathouse of Lynndyl. A reception honored the pair that same evening. The lovely bride was radiant in her gown of traditional white satin cut in an a-line. The front was covered with rows of hand-cut hand-cut lace. The shoulder length veil fell from a bow. She carried a bouquet of tallisman roses accented with white carnations. Attending her sister as maid of honor was Jane Beckwith. Other attendants were Sue Dutson, Jane Lyman, Louise Simpson, and Judy Mills. They wore floor length gowns of avocado satin accented with gold braid. They carried rust chrysanthemums tied with gold ribbon. Mrs. Beckwith and Mrs. Greathouse were dressed in gold. Filling best man duties was Kent Turner. Ushers were Wendell Wen-dell Nielson, Jack Bishop, Mike Thomas and Howard Bassett. In charge of gifts were Syd Bassett, Connie Whicker and Miriam Bell. At the guest book was Betsy J. Bauer. At the buffet table and pouring punch were Marie D. Monkin and Karla Church. Program numbrrs included three numbers by The Kinfolk, an accordion medley by Jane Stanworth, two vocal numbers by Julia Sharp, piano medley by Mary P. Clark, remarks by the bride and groom. Six couples enjoyed a lovely evening of fun and games "Happy Birthday." A quilting was held at the home of Venice Davis. Those attending were Inez Damron, Merle Bennett, Thirza Webb, Helen Hersleff, Ruth Losee, Yvonne Shurtz, Mae Wind and Ireta Shurtz and Gerry Hill. Henrietta Barben is on the sick list and received many visitors, Arch Barben, Curt Shields, Herman Munster, Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Walker, Wal-ker, Eve Shields, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Losee, Shirlee Shields, Gerry Ger-ry Hill, Roxie and Ruth Losee, Bp. and Mrs. Roy Losee, Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Oliver, Norma Meinhardt, Mr. and Mrs Frelen Shurtz, Ireta Shurtz, Majorie Clark and many others. Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Greene and small daughter of Logan visited over the weekend with his mother, Lois Greene and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Davis and family. Mr. and Mrs. Josh Robinson of Fillmore spent Sunday and Monday with their daughters, Yvonne and Ireta Shurtz and familias and attended at-tended Sunday School and church. Bp. and Mrs. Roy Losee and Roxie Losee made a trip to Tooele Wednesday. Sunday night the program was given by the Bishopric. Talk were given by Paul Cutler which was very good, a song by Bob Jensen, accompanied by Verla Jenson. Mrs. Cutler and family visited our meeting. Visiting our Sunday School were itridal Couple Honored at ihtnee A wedding reception and dance was held Saturday evening at the cultural center In Oak City in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Jollcy who were married that same day in the Manti LDS Temple. Bridal parents are Mr. and Mrs. Burton Lovell and Mrs. Thelma Jolley. The bride, the former Betty Lou I ijven, was loveiy in ner aress 01 chantilly lace. It featured long sleeves and a train. She wore a , veil of bride's illusion caught by a corsage of lace flowers trimmed with seed pearls and a touch of blue. She carried a bouquet of white roses and blue carnations, i Attending the bride were Roberta L. Dutson, matron of honor, Karen Ruesh, missionary companion of the bride's, Lynn Jolley, sister of the groom, Sidney Sue Nielson, Jeanie Henifer and Carolyn Roper. They were gowned in identical floor length dresses, blue, cut in the empire fashion. The mothers of the bride and groom wore blue complemented by a white carnation corsage. Acting as best man was Mr. Johnson. At the guest book was Adele Lovell. Master of ceremonies for the program was Steven Lovell. Program Pro-gram numbers consisted of a song "Medley of Love" by Mr. and Mrs. Austin Lovell; an original reading by Roberta Dutson aided by Carolyn Caro-lyn Roper and Afton Dutson; a nephew of the groom sang "The Hawaiian Wedding Song"; song by Carolyn Roper, remarks by the newlywed couple and the bridal waltz. The young couple will make a home in Cedar where Mr. Jolley is self-employed and Mrs. Jolley has employment, also. ilcvcals Troth . MISS CONNIE LYNN HERRON Mr. and Mrs. Robert G. Herron of Simi, Calif, are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Conni Lynn, to Glen David Thomas, son of Mr. and Mrs. David R. Thomas of Anaheim, California. Miss Herron attended Canoga Park High School and Lapin Brothers School of Beauty. Mr. Thomas is a graduate of Anaheim Ana-heim High School and Fuller ton Jr. College. The wedding will take place February 14, in Canoga Park, California. Miss Herron is the granddaughter granddaugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Max Herron of Hinckley, and the grand niece of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Herron, also of Hinckley. Announcing . . . Garrison News BLANCHE RICHARDSON Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Young spent the weekend in Salt Lake getting acquainted with their new granddaughter. grand-daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Vivian Dearden visited with the Bud Richardsons Sunday. Carl Dearden was a Delta visitor Monday. Mrs. Linda Eames and daughter, Patrice accompanied Lee and Dar-lene Dar-lene Whitlock to Ely Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Ladd Davies of Burbank drove to Kanosh Monday morning to attend the funeral services ser-vices for Mrs. Elda Whitaker. They spent the night in Fillmore visiting with the sisters who had come for the funeral also. They returned Tuesday afternoon. Glenn Osborne made a business trip to Ely Tuesday afternoon. Chester Wheeler was once again in attendance at the agriculture class being held in Beaver Tuesday Tues-day morning. Mr. and Mrs. Duane Kerr are the proud parents of a baby girl born Tuesday morning at the Wm. Bee Ririe Hospital in Ely. Marcus Sorenson underwent major ma-jor surgery Tuesday morning at the Wm. Bee Ririe hospital. At this writing he is reported doing fine. Aleeda Dearden made a trip to Ely Tuesday to see the new baby of Duane and Kareen's and to bring their older girl home with her for awhile. Principal D. H. Young was in attendance at-tendance at a school meeting in Delta Tuesday. Earl Richardson met with the County Commissioners at Fillmore on Wednesday. He also stopped to visit with Karl Workman at the West Millard Hospital. We learned Wednesday noon of the business establishment of Harvey Har-vey Young of Ely, Nev. burning completely. Mr. and Mrs. Emerson Gonder were in Fillmore on business Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Osborne were dinner guests of, Mr. and Mrs. Dell Young Thnursday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Wheeler were in Delta Friday. Dee Jensen and daughter, Vickie spent a couple of days in and about the Provo area. The Daddy-Daughter party of the Garrison Branch Primary was held Friday night under the supervision super-vision of Linda Eames and Darlene Whitlock. It was a fun time for all in attendance. Austin Williams made a trip to Cedar to bring back screens for gravel. Saturdy morning Deputy Sheriff Earl Richardson made a trip out in the area of Tkunk Springs to see that the signs that were taken were put back in their places. The Garrison Branch Relief Society So-ciety officers and teachers attended attend-ed Stake Leadership meeting held at the Stake House in East Ely Saturday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Vivian Dearden were in Delta Saturday morning to be with their son while he received re-ceived medical attention. Mr. and Mrs. Austin Williams and son, Bill motored to Cedar Saturday While there Bill purchased a new car and drove it home. Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Forsyth and James Wheeler of Cedar spent the weekend visiting with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Wheeler. M.r and Mrs. Dee Heckethorn of Ely, Nev. and Edna and Van Buskirk of North Port, Wash., drove out from Ely Sunday afternoon to visit with their friends.
