Show Millard County Chronicle Thursday, September 25, 1969 Hinckley Mi ELAINE HARDY Arthur Reeve went to Salt Lake Monday to stay with his son, Rex, and family for the winter. Lee and Lois Wilson are visiting in Boise, Idaho with their daughter and family, Irene and Max Chris-tensen Chris-tensen and children. Irene's health hasn't been very good for some time. The Ward Petersens took their daughter, Jody to Salt Lake Tues day where she will attend the University Uni-versity of Utah again this year. Thora and Jim Petersen went up also and they all with the Howard Roundys of Oasis attended the Ice Capades there. Randle and Oleta Swensen, Ken and Nina Mecham, Meron and Adell Peterson, L.R. and Arvilla Swensen recently enpoyed a fishing fish-ing trip at Johnsons Reservoir. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Warnick of Boise, Idaho came Monday to visit with the Waldo Warnicks. Tuesday they all went to the Mantl Temple. Recently Richard and Pat War-nick War-nick were up north to see her mother. Mrs. Golda Talbot has been visiting in Henderson, Nev. with her daughter and family, Jay and Linda Riding. While there she visited visit-ed with her two brothers and families: Pearson (PeteLand Hazel and children at Las Vegas, Eric and wife. Celia King has had her sister, Mrs. Joe (Virginia) Eldredge of Nev. here to see her. Her husband, Joe has been hospitalized at West Millard Hospital where he had an appendectomy. Monday Celia and Virginia went to Provo. Karl Workman had to return to the hospital in Salt Lake. He had just undergone major surgery recently re-cently at the LDS Hospital. We send his get-well wishes. The Eugene Morris family presented pre-sented the program for church services ser-vices Sunday evening. Mrs. Cherie Morris is at the ele mentary school each Tuesday mor ning before school to sell Savings Stamps to all children who want to purchase them. Almon Robison of Salt Lake, formerly for-merly of Hinckley visited with relatives rela-tives and friends in the area, while he was here on a business trip. Mrs. Zola Bunker and 4 of her 5 children had a family get-together recently at the home of her son, Don and Linda Bunker at Delta. Those attending were Dr. Reed Bunker of Frederick Maryland; Ju-lene Ju-lene and Jay Cottell and children, Randy, Lanae, Robbie and Laurel of Malta, Idaho; Boyd and Lenore Bunker and children; Don, Linda and children and Lindas' cousin, Nelson Delgreen; Bob Perkins, his wife and their two daughters; Sherm and Vilda Perkins; Mr. and Mrs. Dean Perkins. Erma Cropper has been ill with the flu this week. Mrs. Enid Damron is the new Drama Director in the MIA for the coming year. Patrice Bishop and Judith Galli went to Holden last week where they attended a missionary farewell. fare-well. Mrs. Betty Jane Morris and daughter, dau-ghter, Ruthanna and her mother, Mrs. Margaret Roper; also Ruth-anna's Ruth-anna's friend, Barry Monroe of Scipio went to Salt Lake Friday to the State Fair and enjoyed the Ice Capades. Mrs. Alice Bliss has returned home after visiting in Phoenix, Ariz, a few days with her daughter, daugh-ter, Alice Gaye and family. The Glen Taylor family went io Salt Lake to see their son, Tommy after he had completed his mission home training before leaving for Uruguay on his mission. David Petersen returned to Hinckley this past week after spending the past two months in Montana working lor the U. S. Steel Co. in the field of geology. This week he left for a week's trip (geological) thru Colorado and down to Moab with the company. Several brothers and sisters went to Sterling recently to the home of Mrs. Merrill Whitbeck, a sister for a family get-together and dinner. L.R. and Arvilla Swensen, Randle and Oleta Swensen, Vera and Heber Bishop, Edith and Ted Dennison and Ganeve S. Chapman all enjoyed enjoy-ed the day together. David Peterson and Patty Sanderson San-derson attended a wedding reception recep-tion in Provo Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. L. R. Swensen and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hepworth were in Salt Lake this week. Jeddie and Elizabeth Judd and children were at the Lee Judds recently. The Rook Club held a party on Friday night at the fireplace. Sup per was enjoyed and games were played. Those who enjoyed the evening were the Harold Morrises, Ken Damrons, Duane Gallis, Jim Petersens, L. R. Swensens, Ken Mechams, Randle Swensens, Cluff Talbots and Clara Stewart. The first of last week a new coat of oil and gravel was put on Main Street. Down from Dugway recently was the Alma Western's granddaughter, Dorothy (Evan's girl) and her new husband who had been honeymooning honey-mooning in Calif, and were on their way home. They visited Nancy Nan-cy at the West Millard Hospital. Friday Eugene Morris and Ver-dell Ver-dell Bishop went to Beaver where they attended a school meeting. Beryl and Carl Hardy and Diane went to Salt Lake over the weekend week-end to see Judd and Jacquie's little boy who has been quite ill in the hospital for several days. He is much better now. Linda Jo Nielson and little baby are now living at the home of her parents, the Ken Damrons. Wendell has gone in to the service so she is staying here while he is gone. Charles Gordon was home recently re-cently from Nare Island, Calif, to see his family. He now has employment employ-ment in the area and will be joining join-ing his family here. The new baby boy for the Waldo Warnicks, Jr. makes eight grandchildren grand-children for the Waldo Warnicks. In last week's column I stated it was the seventh. Graveside services were held Monday morning, Sept. 15 at the Hinckley Cemetery for Corrina Theobald, little daughter of Tommy Tom-my and Carron Theobald of Las Vegas; the grandchild of Mr. and Mrs. Alton Theobald of Hinckley and Mr. on Mrs. Wendell Edwards of Kearns. Mrs. Erma Cropper sang "My Little Rose Bud"; Mrs. Fen-ton Fen-ton DeMill of Roy and a son-in-law gave the opening prayer. Mr. Allen Irby, son-in-law, dedicated the grave. Mr. Arthur R.eve gave a talk. Mr. Reeve was Tommy's Scoutmaster for many years. Mr. Reeve also blessed Tommy's little daughter, Mary Deann. All of Alton and Irene's children were here for the services, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Irby (Mary), Mrs. LaRae Peterson, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Bigles and Charles, a granddaughter of Las Vegas, Mr. and Mrs. Don Carlisle Carl-isle (Wyla), Mr. and Mrs. Earl Remington (Thilda), Mr. and Mrs. Fenton DeMill (lone), Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie DeMilie, grandson, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Yates (Pat, a granddaughter. granddau-ghter. Beth Wofendin and son spent Thursday and Friday here from up north visiting Beth's parents, Alma Western and Nancy in West Millard Mil-lard Hospital. CARD OF THANKS We want to give our thanks to everyone who helped us in anyway during our recent bereavement and with the graveside services for little Corrina. The Alton Theobald Family Second Ward News EDDYS BAHBEN Mr. and Mrs. Archie Barben and Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Bennett spent Saturday in Salt Lake. While there they visited at the home of Mrs. LaRue Willden and sons :n Granger. Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Sorenson of St. George visited during the week end with Mrs. Sorenson's sister, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Gardner. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Spor of Provo visited during the week with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Adams and Mrs. and Mrs. Chad Spor. Mr. and Mrs. John A. Adams took their daughter, Gloria to St. George Thursday where Gloria will attend Dixie College this school year. Mr. David Olson returned home Friday night by train from Fargo, North Dakota where he has spent 10 days of schooling and training for the A. T. & T. Co. His wife, Katherine and son, Lee returned home Wednesday from Plymouth, Utah where they visited with her parents and family while David was away. Mrs. Noel Twitchell and two daughters of North Salt Lake are visiting with Neol's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Twitchell for a week. Miss Kathy Stoddard drove home from Washington, D.C. and arrived last Tuesday. While she was in Washington, D.C. she served as a secretary in one of the offices of the Health, Education and Welfare Departments. This is the third summer Kathy has worked there. She will enroll to be a studout at USU in Logan this winter. Sunday evening church services in the 2nd Ward was given by High Councilman Laurence Cropper of Oasis, Traveling with his was his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Cordell Cropper Crop-per who also gave a talk and Miss Delene Skeem with an accordion solo. Music was by the ward youth choir. Please call news to 3696. Thanks. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Theobald made a business trip to Las Vegas Monday. Pres. Warren Henderson and his daughter, Dorothy Theobald, attended at-tended the groundbreaking ceremonies cere-monies in Provo recently for the new LDS Temple. Pres. Henderson and Mrs. Theobald and his son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Henderson and sons, all attended the State Fair where Pres. Henderson and Mrs. Theobald attended the Ice Follies. THANK YOU CARD I wish to express my thanks to the staff at West Millard Hospital for the wonderful care I received while hospitalized. I also thank all those who remembered me with cards, letters and visits while I was in the hospital.
