Show Hinckley ELAINE HARDY Saturday evening the 1st Quorum Quor-um of Elders (Hinckley, Deseret and Oasis) who are visiting home teachers held a party in the Hinckley Hinck-ley Ward Relief Society room. The Elder's presidency was in charge. I An Oriental theme was followed.' A delicious supper, Chinese style, under the direction of Marge Cox,i and Marjone Ridmg was served. Guests sat on the floor and were served on low tables. A program followed after which games were played. Many of the guests came dressed Chinese and Japanese style. Everyone had a very enjoyable enjoy-able evening. Mrs. Beatrice Tippetts returned last week from Pipeston, Minn, where she visited her daughter and husband, Sherie and Dave Tanner, family and new baby daughter loom in February. A new family has moved into our town this week: thePaul Shear family of Ohio. They moved into the Gladys Carter home. Cathy Dutson accompanied Mrs. Karen Simpson and her daughter, Cindy to Kamas Saturday. Last week Goldwyn Cluff returned return-ed home from Arizona where he has spent the winter. Mr. Ivan Workman visited at the Karl Workman home for a couple of days last week. Mary Ellen and Aaron Evans and two children returned to their home in American Fork Saturday after spending the week here with her parents, the Hon Croppers. Cherol and Wayne Blake and little twin girls of Brigham City, brought Cherol's dad, Arthur Reeve to Hinckley. They stayed over night then went to Fillmore on business. Rose Dutson's sister, Lois Lewis of Kamas passed away recently. Attending the funeral were Rose and Loren Dutson and Doyle, Carl and Valyn, Hyrum Blake, Ray and Sue Dutson. Elaine Hardy went to Salt Lake . Sunday to take Bobby and Duncan back home and to visit with Sharon. Her birthdav was Friday and we celebrated it. Bobby came down to be here for Teresa's birthday birth-day which was Saturday. In Salt Lake Elaine visited her cousin, Anna Marie Burnham and family. They went up with Darrel Scow who had been here to visit Alice Gaye and baby, Alice and his parents. On the way we witnessed an accident of a drunken driver running off the road, damaging his car and knocking him unconscious. With all the traffic on the freeways it is a miracle when one Isn't killed in a situation as this. Ralph Taylor has gone to Provo and Spanish Fork for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Workman traveled to Provo, Salt Lake and Tooele over the weekend. They visited Arvilla's parents the Wm. Jacobsens in Provo, also their daughters dau-ghters Paula and Lawanna. The Relief Society annual party was held Tuesday. It was held in connection with Homemaking Day. A nice lunch was served with a program following. The Judd Hardy family of Salt Lake visited on the weekend at the Carl Hardys. Our Big Teen Ward Party is coming soon. This will be for ALL Ward members, being sponsored by the teens of the ward as a ward 'building fund project. Plan to be there. The Parry Taylor family went to Provo Saturday. They visited with Jeanne's sister and husband, Glen and Josephine Tolley and family at Springville and Patsy and Darrel Holden and son at Payson and visited Duane and Ethel Green at Goshen. Gary Greener was home from Ogden over the weekend. The students going to CSU are home for a week from their school. It is between quarters. Dwight and Claire Alldredge are back from Salt Lake where Claire had gone to meet Dwight as he was returning from the service. He has been in Viet Nam for the past number of months. Carl Talbot, his wife and their two children returned to Calif, after spending the past few weeks here. Carl has been doing Cluff's trucking while Cluff has been convalescing con-valescing since his stomach operation.. opera-tion.. Our weather for the past while has certainly been unpredictable, snow and winter one day, the next spring like. At Fern Hepworth's for the week end were daughters, Beth of Tooele Too-ele and Thola. Clyde Steven's mother, Elva Stevens visited at Clyde's home from Pleasant Grove. Sympathy to the Losee family this week at the passing of Mr. Losee of Sugarville. Mrs. Dorothy Damron was hos tess to the Rook club last week. Tommy Taylor of Provo visited with his family this week. -I The Hinckley Ward catered the 'supper for the MEA Credit Union last week for about 300 people. This was a building fund project. Richard Warnick and Patricia Ann Watts were married Friday, March 7th at 6:00 p.m. at Hinckley Ward Relief Society room. Bishop Leonard Palmer performed the ceremony. Following the ceremony, supper was served to fifty-three family members and friends. Out-of-town people who were here for the wedding and reception for Richard- Warnick and bride on Saturday were Mary Warnick, Salt Lake. Donna Warnick, Las Vegas; Waldo, Jr. and Karolyn and two children, Marion Warnick, Boise, Idaho, Weldell and Marie Sorenson of Salt Lake; Grace and Marvin Smith and family, Provo; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Palmer of Payson and son. VENICE DAVIS LaRene Davis and Michael returned re-turned home Monday after a week's visit with parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Davis and Lois Greene. Keith Shurlz and Dick Jensen visited over the weekend with parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Shurtz and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Jensen. Gerry Hill has been visiting off and on in Salt Lake with her husband, hus-band, Art Hill. He has been in the St. Marks Hospital and was moved to the hospital here this week. I His daughter Joyce and husband are vibiung nere wuu nun. we wish him a speedy recovery. Saturday evening Mr. and Mrs. Elden Shurtz arid Mr. and Mrs. Jay Shurtz attended the wedding and reception of their younger brother, Aaron Robinson and Pamela Rass- 'musson, a beautiful affair. Yvonne I helped with the gifts and Gwsn i Shurtz helped with the serving and llreta helped with the book. All their families attended. Ireta and Yvonne visited Mr. and Mrs. Josh Robinson earlier in the week as their mother was 111, but is now improved. Those coming for Isaac Losee s funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Kent Shurtz, Mr. and Mrs. Aldon Shurtz, 'Ann Fowks, Rulh Mathis, Lola I Terry, Vivian Housekeeper and lUreatha Pierce, her sister and brother, Dean, and many, many others I didn t get. Rufus Clark is home again and feeling pretty good. We hope ho will soon be as good as new. Donald Davis called his wife, La Rone Friday and said the weather was fine in Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Oliver made a trip to Salt Lake during the week. Sunday night the program was given by High Councilman Phil Nielson, talks were given by his father, LaClead, Ken Ashby and Phil Nielson. Mis. Phil Nielson and Eleanor Nielson, DeAnn Ashby and children visited with us. We invite them to come again. Marsha Church ! also visited our meeting with Dick Jensen. I Mr. and Mrs. Glen Losee ani family made a trip last Sunday to (Cedar for the blessing and naming of their little grandson, son of Mr. I and Mrs. Lane Losee. I A group of young nigh school! opera members with Miss Ruth Hansen and Mrs. Laura Lyman, Marsha Cooper, Sandra Lyman, Rex Stanworth, Carolyn Nickle, Doris Moody, Nick Tippetts and Nan Wankier traveled to Salt Lake Friday Fri-day to participate in an educational educa-tional program on television, KUED for two hours. They went through scenes 1 and 4 of the opera, "Bye,' Bye Birdie" being prepared by the Delta High School music department depart-ment to be presented on March1 26. 27 and 28 in the high school auditorium. After presentation on! TV the head of KUED, TV ran the tape and explained to the group improvement in acting and explained- that TV presents t picture four times larger than actual movement. move-ment. The trip and .'ducation was very enjoyable to the entire group. Mrs. Clair (Mignon Killoack) Stephenson was hurt in a traffic accident, was the word received by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Mar-ion Kiilpack. Mrs. Stephenson had ibeen visiting in Tacoma, Wash, with her children, Mr. and Mr3. Bob Meal. Her son-in-law was driving driv-ing her to the airport for her return home when the car in which they were riding collided with another car. Mignon was thrown into the windshield, causing severe face lacerations. She has been in ; hospital for treatments, but is now home in Fillmore where she is improving im-proving daily. Mrs. Kiilpack has been in Fillmore with her since her return home from the hospital. Miss Carol Adams, student at BYU and her father, Mr. John A. Adams spent the weekend with their family. Mr. Nolan Adams of St.George, student at Dixie, and his fiancee, Miss Diane Scragg of Adelaied, South Australia, were visitors over the weekend at their parents home, Mr. and Mrs. John A. Adams. Miss Scragg will stay in Delta for a visit. Nolan returned to St. George Sunday. The Kimber family all met together to-gether Saturday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Kimber in Taylorsville to celebrate the birthdays birth-days of Mrs. Boyd (Colleen Kimber) Kim-ber) Warenski and the 1st birthday birth-day of the twin daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Kimber, Deanna and Jeanna Kimber. Mr. and Mrs. Da Wayne Kimber and four sons of Ogden joined the rest of the family for the celebration, also. A delicious delici-ous dinner was served and a fine time was enjoyed by the entire group. 18 family members attended Mr. and Mrs. Albert Kimber drove to Draper Sunday to visit with Albert's sister, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lloyd. They returned home to Delta Sunday evening after an enjoyable weekend. Our love and sympathy are with the family and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Warner at this time of saddness and sorrow because of the death of Helen's father, Mr. William D. Tomkinson of Fillmore, last weqk. Visitors at the parents home, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Lyman over the weekend were Mrs. Ruth Ann Robertson and son, Steven of Provo and Miss Jane Lyman, student at Utah State at Logan and Mr. Joe Lyman visited his family Saturday.
