Let us glorify Cod by seeking seek-ing the good, the true, the beautiful! Let us strive to establish peace on earth by exercising the same good will toward one another that Cod has shewn toward us! Christ's truths are as applicable to the world today as to the people among whom he walked and talked. His Spirit should be the center of Christmas. His teachings should be the center of our lives. May Christmas 1968 find love and desire to bless others abiding in the heart of every one of us. In all such hearts and homes will be found peace and good will toward all men. Emerald L. Moody, President Frank A. Lyman, First Counselor Eldon A. Eliason, Second Counselor Ferrin Lovell, Clerk Ned Church, Clerk TO THE CITIZENS OF MILLARD COUNTY: The Spirit of the Season prompts us to express ex-press to you our appreciation for the business entrusted en-trusted to us during the past year. i Of all the gifts of humanity, none is so precious prec-ious as friendship. Being in the right relationship relation-ship with others in our daily tasks, brings that mutual interest which is friendship. At this joyous season of good cheer when the cares of business are overshadowed by good fellowship fel-lowship and kind thoughts, we sincerely wish you an old-fashioned Yuletide and a New Year a- t. i' DOUnumg Willi suttcaa. Rogers, Millard County Treasurer, during 1968 has invested Millard County Funds, both from general funds and Class B Road Funds, which has brought in 11,850.00 in interest to the county, thereby adding to the receipts in that amount. She h?.s also invested Treasurer's Funds during the year. The funds of the Treasurer are derived from the collection of taxes, and" the county funds are derived from the county general tax levy of 8.50 mills plus funds for general pur poses received from other sources, and the Class B road funds come from an allocation by the state. The invested treasurer's fund brought in $4168.75 which amount was apportioned to the County General Fund, the Millard School District, the Uniform School Fund, and the Milard County Water Conservancy Con-servancy District, based on the tax levies. Therefore, a total of $16,018.75 was received during 1968 from these investments, which have been in Time Certificates of Deposit De-posit with the two local banks. This year, 1968, the County Treasurer will again invest Treasurer's Treas-urer's Funds, although the Treasurer Treas-urer has written checks for advance on taxes for 19G8 to some taxing units. Treasurer's funds can only be invested in-vested for a short period, whereas Milard County funds can be invested invest-ed for a. longer period of time, thus deriving more interest.
