Judd and Carl Went hunting. Verdell, Dana, Jon, Patrice, Bruce and Julie Bishop drove to Provo Sunday. Joining them for dinner were Barry, who is attending school there, and Ray and Beverly. Ray is at radio station KOVO and Bev erly is teaching at Springville. While the Bishops were in Provo they visited with Ralph Crafts at the hospital, who is recuperating from major surgery. Sherlene Judd drove to Fillmore last Monday. She took Melanie Judd, daughter of the Jeddie Judds, home. Mr. and Mrs. L.R. Swensen went to Provo Saturday to see the BYU Utah game. They visited with their son, Lewis. At Payson, .they visited and had dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Lars Bishop and family. They attended at-tended Paul Pace's mission report Sunday evening at the Delta Third Ward. Some of the college students home from school this weekend were Alan Galli, Linda Jo Diehl, Hollie Manis. Don Bishop. Tuesday, Halloween, the Primary sponsored their pnnual parade in the eaerly afternoon. All the little children had a gay time, all dress ed up in costume. Mrs. Nina Mecham returned home from Orem Tuesday evening after visiting with her daughter and fam ily. Dorothy and Brooks Robinson. Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Evans and little girl. Amy, of Lehi came and went hunting with the Hon Croppers. Crop-pers. I thought the Homecoming cele oration wss successful and very enjoyable en-joyable this year. The parade was especially nice. Mrs. Fern Hepworth, Harold and Anna Lee Hepworth and family drove to Tooele Sunday for the blessing of the small son of Roma and Don Zeller. The baby was given the name of Christopher H. Mrs. Adell Peterson spent the week in Salt Lake with her children child-ren and husband. At the Ted Dennison home is Ted's brother, Tony, of Salt Lake. He is recovering from a broken leg. Jon Bishop, son of the Verdell Bishops, and Barbara Bliss, daugh ter of the Dale Blisses took part on the Seminary program presented in the Leamington Ward Sunday. Russell Talbot came down from Provo on the weekend. Russell was the master of ceremonies at the Homecoming Day Assembly at the high school. Sunday he spoke at Sacrament meeting in Oasis and Sunday evening attended the mission mis-sion report of his cousin, Paul Pace. Mrs. Carol Bishop and two boys, Golda and Jimmy Talbot drove to Provo Sunday afternoon. Leo and Jeannie Ekins arrived in Hinckley last Friday from Cor vallies, Oregon. Leo has just gra-uated gra-uated from his schooling there. He will fly back east this week to see about some job offers. They are at the home of Leo's parents, the Walter Ekins. Mrs. Fannie Lee Hilton is visiting this week with her son, Lawrence and family in Salt Lake. She went to Salt Lake with Sebrina and George Geo-rge Ekins. Mrs. Belva Morris was hostess to the Rook Club Wednesday evening. Thirten members and guests, Lyla Rae Morris, Anna Lee Hepworth and Elaine Hardy enjoyed supper and cards. A surprise party was given for Mathew Steele by his mother for his 13th birthday. Fifteen boys attended at-tended and enjoyed chilli supper and games. Al-I Al-I so to visit with the Henries were their sons, Mr. Jon Henrie and Mr. Thayne Henrie. John is a student j at CSU and Thayne is Avaition Hy drolicman Third Class in the Navy and is located at Fort Moffitt in I San Francisco. Thayne has a few ' days leave and is spending it with I his folks and will do a little hunting hunt-ing on the side. 1 Mr. Lee Tippetts and Mr. Tom Tippetts were home two weeks ago for the deer hunt and again last week to play for the Homecoming Dance. Then they had to hurry back to Dixie to play for a dance there. Miss Cherrie Walker and Miss Denise Schena of the U were here last week to visit with their folks, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Walker and fam ily and Mr. and Mrs. Neno Schena and family. Mr and Mrs. Neal Haynes and little daughter, Kim, were visitors of Bishop and Mrs. Ferrell Walker last week. This week Mrs. Walker made a trip to Salt Lake to visit with their other daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Twichell and infant daughter. dau-ghter. Mr. and Mrs. David .Wilde and their two little boys left Monday for their home in Croydon. Mrs. Wilde and the children were here for two or three weeks with her folks, the Heber Roses. Mrs. Ann Hales came in from Nev to visit with her family and for Homecoming. Miss Patti Robison and Miss Judy Owens of Salt Lake were here to visit with their folks, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Robison, Scott and Gary, and Mr. and Mrs. Gene Owens, Gary, Robert and John. Mrs. Judy Tolbert and daughter and Jeneal Young of Ely drove over Wednesday and spent the night with their parents and families, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Turner and Mr. and Mrs. LaVar Owens and Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Tolbert. A farewell party was given last week in honor of Mrs. Mary Johnson John-son who is making her home in American Fork where she will be near her son. Dale. There were 42 of Cedar here to visit them. Raymond and Wyatt Flnlinson visited Mrs. Alice Bliss last week. The Hinckley Choir director, Cluff Talbot announces the beginning of practices for the annual Christmas Cantata, this Sunday evening at regular practice time 6:00 p.m. Mrs. Cecila Payne and four child ren of Sandy returned home the first of last wek. Mrs. j Anderson visited here with Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Anderson, LeWanna and Wayne, before she left and the An dersons took her to the airport in Salt Lake. Mrs. Karen (Roberts) Kunz will be a resident of Sutherland for a year while her husband Lt. Calvin C. Kunz is in Viet Nam. She wi'l stay with her folks, Mr. and Mrs. Brose Roberts. We welcome Karen here. Mr. and Mrs. Kay Christensen of the Y were here over the weekend to visit with their folks, Mr. and Mrs. Thurmon Moody and family. Mrs. Hansen of Logan has been staying with her children, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Bennett for a while. Mr. atxi.Mi.-s. Duaina Bayles (Jill) and their little son, Kirt, of the Y were here to visit with their folks, Mr. and Mrs. Reid Tippetts. Jill is teaching school at Orem. Mrs. Zelda Ogden was out on Sunday, the first time since her ac cident. To Mrs. Cora Larsen for her birthday on the 21 of Oct. The Sutherland Ward MIA and the Delta 2nd Ward held their Hall oween party jointly in the 2nd ward Tuesday with the 2nd ward acting as hosts. The Sutherland ward was transported by the adult groups. All attending were required to costume. Refreshments were ser ved and prizes were given to the best costume. Mrs. Ruth Jones and children children spent a day or so in Smith field with their parents and grandparents grand-parents while Rulon went deer hun ting. Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Jones went to St. George to assist a dear friend of theirs in getting a house or apart ment to live in. The friend is past 80 years of age but still drives her own car and is very active. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Steele and fam ily, Mr. and Mrs. (Carol) Hardy and children were here for deer hunt. Also to visit with the Steeles were Arlo's children of Hinckley. This is a tlm when all the cousins can get together at their grandparent's, the Doyle Steeles. Mrs. John Wind just returned from Provo and Springville where she has been visiting with her child ren, Mr. and Mrs. Auer Jensen and family, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Wind in Provo and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wind in Springville. Mr. and Mrs. Mike (Laura) Tho mas were visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Thurmon Moody and Mr. and Mrs. Bus Thomas. All the family attended attend-ed the welcome home night for Elder Paul Pace who just returned from his mission in West Central States. Mr. and Mrs. Christensen (Annette) and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Tho-mas accompanied them. Mr. and Mrs. Milo Mortensen and son, Sydney, went to Ogden Friday to attend a wedding reception of their niece, Jerry Maxfield, daughter daugh-ter of Mrs. Junious Maxfield, and of which Julie Mortensen was one of the bridesmaids. They spent Satur day with Julie in Salt Lake. She is a Dental Assistant. Autumn is a very lovely time of the year, with the invigorating tinge of fall in the air and the sun casting shadows on the crunchy leaves under foot.
