I Mrs. Dorothy Damron is working as a teacher's aide to Mrs. Lenore McCall at the Junior High School this year. I Recently, Mr. and Mrs. Nels Peter sen and children "isiled with their parents, the Lowell Petersens and the Walkers in Delta. They were on their way to Phoenix, Ariz, from Denver, Colo. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Petersen have a new little granddaughter,! born to Karen and Ace Henrickson of Las Vegas this week. This makes three girls and one boy for the! She, also attended open house in Provo at the Campus Plaza Beauty Salon of which Mrs. Blair (Eda) Mansfield, Mans-field, her daughter, is manager. Fred and Margie (Judd) Works are visiting at the Lee Judd home from Maryland. Fred just recently returned from Viet Nam. Friday, they and Marge left for a trip to Arizona where they will visit with relatives. Fred Skeem and son, Sheldon, have been to Idaho to visit with Elva where she is teaching school. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Morris spent the weekend in Salt Lake to visit with relatives, their children: Sherry and Leon Lewis, Dorothy and Raymond Kobinson, Gary and Connie Morris and their families. Also Evelyn's sisters, Wanda and Lottie. They felt the earth tremor while they were there. They all attended Sacrament services in Deseret where Chris and Vin Cropper had their new baby boy named Blair Vincent, Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Mayo Soren son visited with their daughter, Mrs I.nwuna Peterson and family. With the Sorensons was Lawanna's sister Mrs. Carolyn Bessey and daughter, Lisn, all of Mantl. Mrs. Gertha Bishop had her daughter, dau-ghter, and her husband, Leola and Royal Wolters of Salt Lake visiting Sunday. Mrs. Del ma Jean Galli took her son, Alan, to Cedar Wednesday where he will attend CSU this year. Mrs. Dorothy Damron recently took her daughter, Linda Jo, to Og-den Og-den to get ready for school. She re turned to Ogden after spending the weekend here this week. Ttrri and Bobby Meinhardt returned re-turned to their home In Salt Lake after visiting at the Grand Hardys for several days. Sharilyn tookthem up on the train Wednesday and returned Thursday. Belva and Harold Morris spent several days in Salt Lake. They went up on Friday. John Waldron of Logan and his brother Charlie, spent a few days at the Eugene Morris home. Mrs. George Ekins attended a four-day health seminar in Park City last week, which was sponsored sponsor-ed by the University of Utah. Before Be-fore returning home, she visited her children, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Black at Orem; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wilde at Salt Lake and Mr. and Mrs. Gene Ekins et Logan. Mr. David Ekins has enrolled at the BYU and is living with Mr. and Mrs. Keith Black at Orem. P.T.A. meeting was held Monday evening, Sept. 25th at the Elementary Elemen-tary School. Lynn Talbot spent a day at the west hill last week. Next Tuesday, Oct. 3rd, the Relief Re-lief Society will hold their opening social at 10:00 a.m. in the ward chapel. The Relief Society Class Leaders will give resumes of the coming year's lessons. A program wiil be presented and refreshments served. All ladies of the ward are urged to attend. At the Charles Craft home this weekend have been Martha and VerDon of Salt Lake also Millard, his wife and family of Sacramento, California. Wednesday evening, an especeial ly interesting club meeting of the Literary Ciub was held at the home of Mrs. Alice Bliss. Recently, Mrs. Delia Hatton and family of Tooele were at her moth er's home, Mrs. Clarrissa Blake. Saturday, Oleta and Randle Swen sen and Diane drove to Salt Lake and visited Neal and Carma Swen-sen Swen-sen and family and Carl and Ruth Swensen. Eidon Ekins, son of the Walter Ekins, is attending school at the BYU this year. Kenny Talbot, son j of the Dean Talbots is at CSU. Gen-, ielWebb, daughter of the Robert Webbs is also attending CSU. The Carl Dutson family visited in Price recently with Valyn's folks the Clark Draper family. Eugene Morris went to Beaver last Wednesday. Others who have been out hunting too were Lowell Peter sen, Mike and Ken Damron. They report the pinenuts are quite scarce this year. Mike and Kathy Damron of Salem, Sal-em, Ore., arrived in the area recently. re-cently. Mike went on to Detroit, Mich., for two-week schooling. Kathy remained here with her moth er in Delta, while he is back east. Mrs. Reva Taibot, her mother, Mrs. Lula Gull, her sister, Roma and Howard Bird, of Meadow drove to Salt Lake Sunday to visit Reva's sister and family, Aleith and Gold-wyn Gold-wyn Cluff and Craig. They enjoyed a family dinner together. The Bird children were there also. Mrs. Enid Damron left Monday to go to Cedar where she will attend at-tend CSU this year. Mr. C. L. Loveland of Tooele spent a week with his sister, Mr. and Mrs. Allan Keller. The Horace Wilkins family went on a fishing trip to Clear Creek last week. Sunday afternoon, Mrs. Mary Abbott Ab-bott drove down from Spanish Fork and brought her mother, Mrs. Clara Stewart some fruit. With Mary was her daughter, Mrs. Mary Ann Card and her two little boys, Wayne and Bobby. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Taylor and family visited with Floyd's mother, Mrs. Reva Taylor Sunday. Sunday evening, a Home Evening meeting was held at the home o! Mrs. Clara Stewart at which widows wi-dows of the ward attended. This is going to be a regular meeting for them in the future. Is visiting with her sister, Mrs. Geo getta Peterson. Mr. and Mrs. Matt Cropper were in Kanosh Tuesday on business. Mr. and Mrs. Jerold Bennett spent a few days In Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Black spent the first of the week In Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Rowley and children spent the weekend at St. George with Mrs. Rowley's mother, Mrs. Barton. Mr. and Mrs. George Fisher of Freemont spent Saturday and Sunday Sun-day with Mrs. Telia Fisher. Paul Peterson of Salt Lake was home over the weekend with his parents, Raymond and Zina Peterson. They now have two sons who are In the service ser-vice of their country who were home on furlough. John Western who Is In the U.S. Army and Wally Western In the U.S. Navy. Also home were Ray and Fayetta Western Wes-tern and four children of Sandy; Douglas and Sue Western and dau ghter of Midvale; Tony and Mary Western of Las Vegas; Debbie, Don na, Bruce Western of Deseret. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Larsen and children Rex, Brenda and Jane of Spanish Fork visited Sunday after noon at the homes of Phil Eliason and Lincoln Eliason. We were happy to have Paul Dewsnup, who Is home on furlough ' after being In Viet Nam and Japan, with us Sunday at Sunday School and Fast Meeting. He Is the son of Mrs. Ruth Ashby of Delta and the late J. Layton Dewsnup. The infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Cropper received a name and blessing Sunday at Fast Meet ing. Mrs. Funk of Logan Is visiting with her daughter, Ethel A. Stan worth. Erma Skeem and Vernessa Skeem spent a few days In Salt Lake. Beulah Rowley and Norma Skeem took Susie Rowley to Logan last Wednesday where she will attend USU. Dr. Ben Grover and son, Rick, and daughters, Colleen and Ada, visited with the Loren Rowley fam ily Saturday. They all went Chuk-ker Chuk-ker hunting Saturday at Drum Mt. Steve and Colleen Rowley have moved to Provo where Steven will attend BYU. Helen Memmott and friend are planning to fly to Chicago where theye will meet their husbands who are In school. Coleen Anderson and David Atter Strom were married in Oasis Satur day. Openhouse was held following the ceremony. The bride wore a lace mini wedding dress and carried a bouquet of white carnations.
