Thursday, August 3, 1967 l to see the "Tempest" one of no Shakestpearenen Festival plays. They went to Salt Lake from there to see "The Promised Valley." They attended tho Steele reunion and worked on genealogy while they were there. They attended church In Drnper nnd spent the 24 1 h nl Draper with relatives. Tho next day they went to Flaming Gorge where they fished and spent four days .sightseeing. They returned 'Friday evening to see Ed Ames nnd Count Basic. Saturday they attended the Prows reunion and visited the lilng ham Pits. With the Sleeies were their lirother and sister, Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Prows of Kanosh. Mrs. Marilyn Blanche and daughters, daugh-ters, Tonl, Barhara nnd Janie of Yuba City, Cnlif., nnd Mrs. Joan Sledge of Ilarslow, Calif., were here to visit with their parents, Mr. nnd Mrs. Karl Murrny. Mr. nnd Mrs. Dun-ell Fowles nnd little daughter spent last week In Calif, visit ing Willi Mrs. lllanche. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Murray spent n few days fishing In the Heaver mountains last week. They report that the fishing was really wonder ful. Mr. and Mrs. I.aVoy Tolbert and family of Torrey, Utah, spent a day visiting with their folks, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Tolbert. At the Robison reunion there were 61 present nnd would be 6'2 with the one son, Kent Allstrom, who is on a mission in Mexico. Saturday morning they took two boats out on the reservoir where they gave everyone tho opportunity to ride, then those who wanted to ski or swim had tho opportunity to do so. At 5:00 they came bnck to tho lawn for lunch nnd when the tempera-ture tempera-ture cooled off enough they returned re-turned to the water activities. All of them thought that this was the mos ideal place for having fun, swimming water skiing etc. Mr. and Mrs. Tillman Johnson and family have been in Nevada for the past week. They left Joyce in Salt Lake until Sunday then Virgin-la Virgin-la brought her home. Mr. Lyman Henrie is home with his parents for a few days while he is recovering from his very recent re-cent serious illness. He. is slowly recovering. We received word from the Hep-worths Hep-worths and they experienced some of the scenes where the riots were taking place in Detroit. They were staying just six blocks from tho riots. The National Troops were placed all over the city and they described the movement ns being terrible. The Stnko M-Men and Gleaners held a hobo party last Wednesday night at the old Sutherland Elemen tary school house. 'l at 5:00 p.m. to mail in their application to theDeer Per mil Sales Office listed in the 1907 Deer Proclamation. There are 2,050 either sex permits available on six hunting areas, 1,000 antlerleses permits available on four areas nnd 1,000 permits av liable on three five-day notice hunts. Control permits are $5 for residents resi-dents and $7 for nonresidents und each license holder may procure only one control permit or one archery ar-chery permit. Applications must contain the hunter's name, address, choice of hunting area and big game license number along with the proper fee. Non residents may purchase their deer license nt tho time of npplica lion for the control permit, however no refunds will he mnde in the ense the hunter is not successful in obtaining a control permit. There will be a public drawing on Aug. 25 for any unit which is over subscribed and all unsuccessful unsuccess-ful control permit applicants money mon-ey will be returned. Oak City News MACEL ANDERSON Mr. andMrs. Owen Lovell have their grandson, Randy Lovell of Idaho Falls visiting. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Lovell. Mr. and Mrs. Eric Nielson and baby are visiting their parents,, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Nielson. Eric in on furlough from the Air Force Base before going into the war zone t Viet Nam. Mr. anil Mrs. LeRoy Walker were surprised Wednesday by a visit from son, Mr. and Mrs. Mcrvin Trim bio nnd a grandson, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Trimble of Fillmore. They hat! dinner together in the canyon and had a lovely time. Mr. and Mrs. Don Anderson and Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Anderson took a trip over to Loa and stayed over night then went on down to visit Wayne Wonderland on Friday and Saturday. They enjoyed the beauti gether into a huge kettle and all ate from tho kettle. They had a very good time. less! FIRST WARD AREA HEWS BRIEFS MYRNA Mr. and Mrs. Jay Jeffery and fam ily have returned to Utah after spending the last five years in New, Zealand where Mr. Jeffery taught j seminary and was in the administration adminis-tration of the Church College at TempleViow. They are now making their home in Springville. Mr. Jeffery Jeff-ery plans to enroll at the BYU for the fall quarter. When they left for New Zealand, Mr. and Mrs. Jeff ery wire the parents of three child ren. They now have six. Their children are Melvin, Dennis, Jaeleen Tawa, Jonahan and Maria.' Before leaving for Springville they visited several days in Delta with Mr. Jeff ery's mother, Mrs. Adeline B. Jeff ery, and other relatives and friends. The Jeffery Family reunion was held at Aspen Grove in Provo Canyon Can-yon Saturday. 115 family members attended. Mr. ami Mrs. Oliver Tripp of the Six-Mile Ranch near Callao came to Delta Friday night and attended at-tended the reunion. They returned with Mrs. Tripp's mother, Mrs. Adeline Ade-line B. Jeffery and stayed overnite Saturday with her. With Mr. and Mrs. Tripp were Raejean and Linne Lnylniid andd Mrs. Tripp's grandson Andy Schlappi of Ponliac, Michigan and Brent Winkle of Mesa, Arizona. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hunsaker and family of Ruth, Nevada, were weekend visitors at the home of ful scenery and seeing the lovely cattle and pastures. Mrs. Laurel Prisby of Salt Lake is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Anderson and other friends and relatives for a few days. At Sacrament meeting Sunday evening, two youth speakers, Gary Pratt and Michael Scott Nielson, and a returned missionary, Elder David Hansen of Leamington took the time of the meeting. Garth and Steven Anderson of Boise, Idaho, are visiting their grandmother, Macel Anderson and Paul for a week. Marion Ray Anderson left Tues day for a visit in Santa Barbara, Calif., with his uncle and family. Ronald Anderson. He will be gone for three weeks. Cnrol Anderson, who is employed in Salt Lake, spent the weekend home with her parents, Mr. and Mrs Marion Anderson. Tho sidewalk project is going fast and helps the looks of our town very much. It has been installed from ban Shipley's to Clarence Nielson's and the block from Fred Nielsen's to Edwin Stuarts and from there to Eldon Anderson's Ui's all get out and do our part to clean up the town before the ward day. Now with the new sidewalks side-walks it is easier to make it look nice. Mention has been made of how thrilling it was to see the flag on the July ivlebratinns flying from the new flagpole. How we should appreeiate liie opportunity to fly our colors. While in Ogden they visited Alice Gardner at Thomas Dee Memorial Hospital room 382. Alice is improving improv-ing we are happy to report. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Mortenson were in Ogden Thursday to get son, Clark, who had vacationed with his sister, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Millard and Dusty. They all enjoyed an after-non after-non at Lagoon on their way home. Mrs. Orval Turner and Jill and Mrs. Sherman Perkins drove to Springville Sunday where Jill board ed a chartered bus for a two week vacation in camp at Mesa, Colorado Jill will get acquainted with 130 children who will enjoy this camp thru funds of the Easter Seal Soei ety. Mr. and Mrs. Orval Turner have had granddaughter, Pamela Boothe visiting her for awhile. She and Karen Pace met her parents Mr. and Mrs. Ken Boothe in Springville nnd Karen will vacation in Bountiful. Bounti-ful. Lori Boothe returned with Mrs. Turnef for a visit. Mr. and Mrs. Lathel Callister took son, Kent, to the airport to return to the service. Their daughters, Chloeen and Joan rode with them. Mr. and Mrs. George Church took Mrs. Chloeen Bybee and children to Panguitch after a weekn yisit with the Lathel Callisters. Joan met her husband, Douglas Miles, and Patricia Patri-cia and Elizabeth went with them to Altamont for a vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Evan Christensen met son, Craig, who returned from the Canadian mission they all visit ed another son, Mr. and Mrs. Winston Win-ston Christenson and family also daughter, Mary Jo. They attended Craig's mission report and Craig is now attending Pasadena College. Mr. and Mrs. Evan Christensen were in Brigham City to visit daugh ter, Mr. and Mrs. Vance (Karen) West and children. Mr. and Mrs. David Moody and family and Mrs. Moody's niece, Diane Christensen, have been to Colorado visiting with Mr. and Mrs. MaeDaniel. Josephine Stevens of Holden spent Sunday with Lydia Evans.
