Blaine Is employed at Hill Air Force Base. He has been working TDY in the Minute Man Missile Program in Cheyenne, Wyo., since the first of the year. Blaine and family expect to be in Wyo. until Dec. when they will return to their home in North Salt Lake. Also to visit with Mr. Jones was his sister, Mrs. Louisa Lovell, of Oak City. Mr. and Mrs. Richard May and family of Fredonia, Ariz., visited with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Morgan May for Father's Day. They left their son, Dennis, here to stay with the Mays for a while. Misses Emaiee and Judy May are spending some time in Cedar this summer, Judy will be assisting in making costumes for the Shakespearean Shake-spearean Characters for the Shakespearean Shake-spearean Festival. Emaiee will be attending summer school there. Miss Karoll Lyman was home over the weekend to visit with her folks, Pres. and Mrs. Frank Lyman and family. She is attending the Y for summer school. Miss Patti Robison was here to visit with her parents, Scott and Gary for Father's Day. Patti is working wor-king in Salt Lake. Miss Judy Owens was here to visit with her folks, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Owens, Robert, Gary and John. Judy is attending LDS Business College in Salt Lake. Mrs. Harold Meinhardt spent a day or two in Salt Lake with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Dun-lop. Dun-lop. Harold went to get her and they met four of Harold's children at the airport. The children flew In from Enumclaw, Wash. This is the third year they have flown in and Harold and Lana report that they have never ridden on a plane. Mrs. John Wind met her daughter Mildred, who came in on the train from Calif. They left immediately for Provo where they joined another an-other daughter, Mrs. Doris Jensen. They will accompany Mrs. Jensen to the MIA Girls Camp at Provo which Doris is in charge of. Clark and Reva Bliss spent last Saturday and Sunday in Dragger-ton Dragger-ton with Clark's brother, Bill, and wife, Gena. Then Thursday of this week they were surprised to have Bill, Gena, and their daughter and husband, Dr. Edward Southwick of the United States Medical Corp, visit them. The Southwicks will be stationed in Hawaii. Walter and Lola Stoneking went to Salt Lake to keep a doctor's appointment ap-pointment for Lola, June 8th. Mrs. Rose Webb of Delta has had her daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Lucien Ide and daughter, Patricia, Pa-tricia, of Price visit her and other relatives recently. Then they went on to Calif, and Texas. Patricia graduated from Carbon High School this spring. Mr. and Mrs. Galen Finch of San Bernidino, Calif., brought their mother, Mrs. Nettie Stoneking to visit a month with sons, Walter and Ralph Stoneking. Walter and Lola visited Carl and family and Helen Marie and Charles Char-les Thayer and baby while in Salt Lake. Mrs. Erma Petersen is home and we are glad to have her home to spend Father's Day with Clifferd. We've missed her. Tracy and Sandra Fullmer spent Father's Day weekend with the Jay Fullmers and Doyle Pace and other relatives. I Fun has started at the reservoir, ; boating, swimming, and playing in . the sand. The Dave Poulsen family and Chester Corbett family,, the Almon Fullmer, Jr. family and Cecil Fullmer Full-mer and daughters, Ida and Edna and husband all were here Sunday, also Max and Blanch Holbrook and Brad and Greg called on us. Water is out of the ditches killing kill-ing the moss. Carmella Hoelzle and boys Neno and Joe went to the stockshow in Farmington on the 14th. They got a blue ribbon for their prime lamb. Clark and Reva Bliss and us have ridden all over the desert, Altelope, Joy, Indian Springs, Desert Mt. and find flowers in bloom, grass greener and higher than we have ever seen it before. Lots of washouts, I guess our long drought is over, I hope. Lloyd and Hildred Tolbert have a telephone now. Their number is 7968. Ray and Linda Tolbert and family fam-ily are here now. They have worked in Texas drilling, but are now going to make their home in Ely, Nev. Please folks now you all have phones callme your news. DESERET Mrs. Ines Damron returned to Salt Lake Monday for a checkup with her doctor as she has just recently had eye surgery. Attending the "Boys State" Ban quet and dance at Logan last Sat urday evening at Logan were Mr. and Mrs. Irish Anderson, Joan Ash-by Ash-by and Judy Taylor. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Peterson vis ited during the week in Salt Lake with Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Wade and children. On their return home they brought their granddaughter, Barbara, for a visit. Mr. and Mrs. Ike Anderson and son, Chad, were in Salt Lake Mon. Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Allred left Friday Fri-day for Bryce Canyon where they attended a Palmer family reunion which was held at Ruby's Inn on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Crafts and four children of Ruth, Nev., visited Wednesday at thehome of Ike and Phyllis Anderson. Little Miss Debbie Davis spent Wednesday and Thursday with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Cropper. Our congratulations to Donna Western, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fawn Western, on being chosen as First Attendant for Hinckley 24lh of July Royalty. Mr. and Mrs. Homer Jensen and Bonnie and Mr. and Mrs. Phil Elia-so Elia-so and family spent Thursday at Provo. Master Scott Damron of Salt Lake is spending his vacation with grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Damron. Dam-ron. Captain and Mrs. Jack Hall and children of Calif, are visiting with Mrs. Hall's aunt, Mrs. Edna Christensen. Chris-tensen. end and Father's Day with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thurmon Moody and family and Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Christensen and family. High Councilman Lyle Bunker was responsible for the Sunday night meeting. Lyle's son talked and his wife sang a solo. Lyle also talked. Mr. and Mrs. Mack Danstrup and family visited in Sutherland with their folks, Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Steele. They came to spend Father's Day with the Steeles. Mr. and Mrs. Michael Rose spent Sunday in Salina with their folks, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Briggs and Sharon. Shar-on. They saw their sister, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Robinson and family for a few minutes. Mr. and Mrs. Heber Rose and son, Michael, went to Ogden Satur day to attend the funeral of Mr. James Taylor, a cousin of Heber's. Sunday morning word was sent that a brother-in-law of Heber's had died that morning. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Humphries and children of Salt Lake, are on vacation and are visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Cleve Rowley. Mr. and Mrs. Doug Jackson of Logan spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Dee Black. Paula Black who has spent the past two weeks at Logan with the Jacksons return ed home. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Bunker and children of Fredrick, Maryland, arrived ar-rived Tuesday at the Salt Lake Airport and were met by Mrs. Bunker's Bun-ker's parents, Mr.and Mrs. Spencer Webb. The Bunker family will spend their vacation at Deseret. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Allen, Jr. of Calif, are visiting with their parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Jensen at Deseret and Mr. Charles Allen at Delta. Mr. and Mrs. Orin Allred went to Schofield Friday to enjoy a couple of days fishing. They met Darrel Allred there. Mr. and Mrs. LaMont Bennett of Richfield visited Friday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Bennett. Mrs. Lucile Hales visited at Nephi Thursday with her sister, Mrs. James Mathews. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Western and children of Sandy and Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Western of Midvale spent the weekend with parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fawn Western. Mr. Bert Hales attended the Hales family reunion in Salt Lake Sunday. Also attending were Mr. and Mrs. Sam Hales -of Sutherland. The Aaronic Priesthood Boys and MIA girls of the Deseret Ward went as a group to Provo Saturday where they attended the BYU Track Meet. They were taken by the Bishopric and fathers. A good time was enjoyed en-joyed by 32 from our ward. Mr.and Mrs.Varlo Cahoon of Las Vegas spent the weekend with Var-lo's Var-lo's parents, Mr. and Mrs. R'-nllc Cahoon. They also attended the Bennett and Knight wedding at Delta Saturday. Mr. Bill Conk, who is employed at Tooele was home over the week end with his wife and children. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Conk of Kearns were down over the week end taking care of some farm work. Mr. and Mrs. Wells Robison visit ed one day during the week at Scipio with relatives and friends. Mr. Eldon Erickson received injuries in-juries Saturday evening when he had a fall at his home. We wish him a speedy recovery. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Ekins and children of Elberta visited Sunday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dewsnup. Mrs. Mae Cropper accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Roger Davis and daughter dau-ghter to Cedar Sunday where she will assist the Davis's moving into their home. The Sunday School officers and teachers presented the Fathers of the ward with a plute of homemade candy as a token for Father's Day. The program at Sacrament meeting meet-ing Sunday evening was put on by the Hiijh Priests. Talks were given on the Priesthood by Spencer Webb, Lincoln Eliason and Wells Robison. Musical numbers weie by Jim Mace and Orin and Jean Allred. Program was announced by Milden Scow. Mr. Jay Warnick who has employ ment in Calif, for a while, spent Saturday and Sunday with his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Van Warnick. Mr, and Mrs. James Sampson brot ! their daughter, Shelia.home Sunday from Salt Lake where she had su gery on her knee. We wish her a fast recovery. Mr. and Mrs. Gale Larson and daughters, Sharon, Letetia, Marcel-la, Marcel-la, of Salt Lake visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Cuman Cropper. Mrs. Larson is a niece of Mrs. Cropper. Crop-per. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Moody spent Saturday at Draper looking for a home, as his employment is up north. Mrs. Fay Davis who is spending the summer at Cedar was home over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Moody and Kathy and Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Moody and children went to the West hills and spent the day Sunday. Sun-day. Diane Roberson, Cheryl Morten-sen Morten-sen of Bountiful spent the weekend at the home of Marilyn Mace. These girls were roommates while attending USU during the school year. Let's all remember this Friday and Saturday are the Millard Coun ty Fair and Days of the Old West Rodeo at Deseret. RCA Rodeo each night and a big parade Saturday at 5:00 p.m. Bring all the family. Mr. and Mrs. Kent Miller were visitors Monday night and Tuesday at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Miller. Tuesday they left for Rockfcrd, 111., where Kent has employment as associate engineer in the Vehicle Transmission Transmis-sion Dept. of Sunstrand Corporation in Rockford, III. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Miller spent the weekend in Las Vegas visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Duane Terry and and two daughters. They returned home Monday evening. M. and Mrs, Archie Barben and Linda Kay returned home Saturday from a beautiful trip up thru the North West. They visited in Crescent Cres-cent City, Calif, Brookings, Oregon, and Portland, Oregon. ' Sunday evening, sacrament meeting meet-ing wasgiven by High Councilman Leoyd Lovell. The speaker was Bob Riding, Jr. Everyone enjoyed the meeting. Mr. and Mrs. Lad Kelly, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Kelly and family and Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Kelly all went to Las Vegas to attend Charleen Moody's Moo-dy's graduation. Kim and Sandra Taylor of Las Vegas are spending a week or so with grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Norvel Christensen and relatives in Hinckley. Mrs. Rose Nichols had her brother Keith Stewart, visit her a few days from Meadow. Josephine Bishop of Salt Lake visited in Oasis with Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Hawley. Mrs. Kelly Hawley had a quilting this week. Erma Skeem and Verda Stan-worth Stan-worth spent the day in Salt Lake. Emerson and Daisy Gonder and family of Garrison spent Sunday with Mr. and Mi's. Loren Rowley. Opal Gillen spent Saturday night with her sister, Coleen Dapstrup in Fillmore. Coleen brought her home Sunday and visited. Her husband, John, is in Salt Lake with the National Na-tional Guard. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Humphries and family are visitiing in Deseret and Oasis for a few days. Clarence and Leona Anderson went to Salt Lake Friday to get their son, Raymond, who has been hospitalized for a week with a broken bro-ken arm. La Veda Bishop went' to Provo to attend a Hutching family reunion. David and Arlene Bishop and fam ily of Las Vegas visited with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Bishop, after a trip to Wyo. to visit Arlene's parents. Mr. Lawrence Cropper kept a doctor's appointment in, Spanish Fork recently. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Peterson visit ed in Grantsville to see their new granddaughter.
