Gaiy Dutson spent the week in Logan and Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Clayton of Ruth, Nev., visited Tuesday and Wednesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Palmer. MarGenne Rowley was hostess to the Deseret Rook Club at her home Thursday evening. Luncheon was served and One High Rook was played. Members present were Lu-cile Lu-cile Hales, Bessie Webb, Lucile Sampson, Jackie Elack, Delores Og-den, Og-den, Arprilla Scow, Elaine Moody. Guests for the evening were Seb-rina Seb-rina Ekins, Glenda Roundy, Norma Skeem, Blanch Larsen. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Warner spent several days in Salt Lake with Mr. and Mrs. Jay Warner and in Ogden with Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Warner. Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln Cropper were in Salt Lake Sunday and Mon day on business. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Riding of Phoe nix, Ariz., brought Mrs. Vernell Baker home Friday. Mrs. Baker has spent the past several months in Arizona. Marilyn Mace and Cheryl Morten sen who are attending college at Logan spent the weekend with Marilyn's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Mace Howard Clayton, who is doing his student teaching was at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Van Warnick over the weekend where he visited his wife Marilyn and two daughters. LaMar Dewsnup spent a few days during the week with his wife Aletha and children. Mr. and Mrs. Homer Jensen and Bonnie attended the basketball tournament at Cedar. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Conk of Kearns, spent Saturday at Deseret looking after their farming interest here. Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Christensen and sons Clay and Earl of Bountiful visited Saturday and Sunday with Sheldon's mother, Mrs. Edna Christensen Chris-tensen and also Mr. and Mrs. Phil Eliason and family. Mrs. Nora Hansen of Redmond, Ut., visited Wednesday and Thursday Thurs-day at the home of her sister, Mrs. F. M. Western. Mr. and Mrs. Gus Fowles and son of Salt Lake spent the weekend with Nancy's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Black. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dewsnup visited vis-ited at Flowell with Ulala and Bill Mace and with Mr. and Mrs. Brent Mace and children of Bedford, Wyo. At Sacrament meeting Sunday the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Webb received her name and a father's blessing. She was given the name of Jodylynn. Here to witness wit-ness the blessing were her grandparents, grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Webb of Deseret; grandmother, Mrs. Florence Flo-rence Jensen, of Salt Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Allen McFarland and daughter of Salt Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Fillmore and daughter of Spanish Fork. They all visited at the home of Carl and Judy Webb during the afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Brent Mace and children of Bedford, Wyo., and Mrs. Ulula Mace of Flowell visited Monday Mon-day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dewsnup. See your Branch Manager REX WOOD SUTHERLAND MRS. HEBER ROSE Mr. and Mrs. Michael Thomas ol Ephraim were here to spend the weekend with their folks, Mr. and Mrs. Thurmon Moody and the Thomas family. Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Jackson spent a couple of days in Salt Lake and Ogden visiting with their mother, moth-er, Mrs. Rhoda Jackson. They also saw their nephew Brent Anderson, son of Mrs. Ruth (Jackson) Anderson Ander-son off on a plane. He will fulfill a mission in Australia where Len-ord Len-ord Owens is. This is the country where their grandmother came fro where their grandmother came from. Mrs. Hettie Johnson is staying with her daughter and son, Mr. and Mrs. Owen Benson. She has been with her other daughter at Lynndyl for a while. Happy birthday to Marve Moody, Beulah Bassett, Lionel Taylor, Alva Young and Heber Rose, whose 'birth days were on the 3rd of March. Almost all of the Henries were home to attend the State Wrestles and to visit with Thayne who had a weeks furlough. Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Henrie and family of Bount iful, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Dalton and family of Circleville, Mr. and Mrs. David Henrie and childrene of Salt Lake. All of the family was here except Daniel who is on a mission in Germany and Mr. and Mrs. Merril Nielson (Kay) and children. Mr. and Mrs. Thurmon Moody made a trip to Cedar to attend the game Saturday. They took J Grant and of course their other son Dean who is on the team. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Ferry and Billy, Mrs. Blanche Ferry and son Bernell returned after an extended visit in Texas. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Fowles and children and Mr. and Mrs. Gus Fowles and little son were here overthe weeeknd to visit and to witness the blessing of Karen and Darrell's baby, who was given the name of Deanne and was blessed by her father. Mr. and Mrs. Kay Christensen of Provo were here over the weekend to visit with the Thurmon Moodys. Congradulations to Rhoanne John son for playing the lead in the Jr. High opera. She did a very good job. Mrs. Arva Witbeck and family spent the weekend with their moth er, Mrs. Mary Johnson. To visit with the Heber Roses were Mr. and Mrs. Ephriam Twit-chell Twit-chell of Orem and Mr. and Mrs. Michael Rose of Cedar. Ephriam and Fern had been back to Ohio to get a big truck for the city of Orem. To receive individual awards for their achievements Sunday were Tom Judd, Scott Robison, Sydney Mortensen, Kim Moody, David and Daniel Johnson, Paul Fowles, Kim Rawlinson, Ladd Hales, Stephen Johnson, John Owens, Gordon De- Lapp, Keith Ccrry, Ray Johnson, Ray Lyman, Mark Turner, in the DeaconQuorum and Dean Moody, Stephen Pace and Todd Turner in the Priest and Teacher Quorum. Last week, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Johnson and family spent some time with their mother, Mrs. Mary Johnson. Mr. James Henrie of Southern Utah was a visitor of Mr. and Mrs. Cutler Henrie and family. James is a cousin of Cutler and lived in this area when he was younger. Mr. Lee Tippitts was home to see his folks last week and attended the wrestles. Delta beat their game Saturday at the Round Robin so they are listed to go to the State as Cedar Hurricane and Dixie are, also, having hav-ing beat their games. Congratulation, Congratula-tion, Delta. Mrs. Crarles Jensen infermed me that RLene, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Auer Jensen had tried out for Metropolitan Opera and had won f:rst place in Salt Lake. The first place winner in Salt Lake, as their prize, received a trip to Denver to compete with first place winners there. She didn't first in Denver but she is to be congratulated on her achievement because its quite an honor to receive first place in Salt Lake among so many talented peo pie. All who have heard RLene sing know what a beautiful voice she has. Some more talent coming from the Delta area. Mr. -ndMrs. Kelvin Williams and two children of Salt Lake spent Saturday visiting with their folks Mr. and Mrs. Marve Moody. Mr. M. J. .Moody made a trip to Gunnison Monday returning the same day. Elder Garn Turner was released last Friday from his mission but is doing some traveling in Germany to see some of boys who are from this area, Marcus Skeem, Phillip Adams, Ronnie Mortensen, Bob Bennett, and the Callister boy. Some of them re in th Army and some in the mission field. Garn will travel thru four countries and will then board a luxery liner for his trip home and will arrive around the 17th of March. Kent Turner is planning to go to Dental school next year at the University of California at San Francisco. There are very few two year college students who have been accepted into dental school. Kent has been accepted to two different schools and will make his choice between now and next fall. He plans to go to Brigham Young University this summer for further preparations for this fall. Funeral services were held in Abredeen, Ida. and burial was in Logan. Our sympathies sym-pathies go to both Norma and Joy in their berievement. The sonic boom we had last Mon day kind of leveled the adobe part of our house at the flat. Golly, sometime I wonder if we are being family of Salt Lake Wsited a short while Sunday, also Bill and Clau-dine. Clau-dine. They are sporting a new car. Mr. and Mrs. Randall Bradfield and Myrtle Nielson went to Provo and Salt Lake Wednesday for checkups and to visit with Shirley, Dee and boys. Myrtle visited son! Bob and family.
