ORDINANCE An Orrlinmro amending Chapter XX, Section 35 Revised Ordinances of Delta, Uteh, 1956, entitled Traffic Traf-fic and Travel on Streets and adding add-ing to Section 35, subdivision 7 relating re-lating to U-Turns and crossing median strip on mnin street. BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Delta, Utah, Section 3S-7 It shall be unl wful for any person while driving a motor mo-tor vehicle on a main street in Delta Del-ta City to make a left turn or U-turn U-turn between intersections or to drive upon or across the median strip on the said street when the median strip has been established by the State or City Highway Department, De-partment, and its areas and bound aries indicated by painted line or lines, more particularly a double yellow line, or by a raising or lowering low-ering of the area level, or a raised curbing. Violation of this provision shall constitute a misdemeanor. . In the opinion of the City Council of Delta, Utah, it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of the City of Delta that this Ordinance shall become effective immediately. Mr. and Mrs. Guy Terrell enjoyed a weekend visit from their daughter daugh-ter Kathleen and one of their grand daughters, Gail Ann Johnson of Orem. Kathleen is employed as a secretary at KUTV Channel 2 in Salt Lake. She is attending night school at Weber State College specializing spe-cializing in voice and music. Mr. and Mrs. R. Deo Whicker were happy to have Joan of CSU home for the weekend. She celebrated cele-brated her birthday Saturday, Jan. 21. Suzanne Law also celebrates the same birthdate. Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Farnsworth had daughter Colleen home from Dixie for the weekend. Colleen and Steve Rowley spent some time in Provo visiting. Erwin LeRoy Farnsworth has finished fin-ished his student teaching at Pay-son Pay-son High School. He is attending BYU. Mr. and Mrs. Ciead Lovell and children' Olea, Ruel Mark, Jeff, Ann of Midvale, visited with his sister Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Lake over the weekend. Mrs. Harriet Eliason attended the Phi Mu annual Mother, Daughter Banquet at Fort Douglas Country Club Jan. 17 with her daughter, Jean. Harriet went to Salt Lake with Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hogan, st.'yed two nights at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Parnell Hinckley. She came home by train. Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Tolbert had a weekend visit from son, Mr. and Mrs. DeLoy Tcubert and children; Terri Ann, Kirk and Janice of Salt Lake City. Stake Pres. and Mrs. E.L. Mody had daughter Alison home this weekend. Their son Paul took Alison, Ali-son, Joan and Janice back to school at CSU and visited friends there. Paul Is on leave for awhile and it's so nice to have him home awhile. Mrs. Lilac Holman visited with Althea over the weekend in Provo while Loy attended Nat'l Guard in Filimore. Dr. and Mrs. L.C. Johnson and son Kep of Decolb, 111. spent a week visiting Mr. and Mrs.Earl Hoi man, Mrs. Lilly Dawson and their mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Keppler who celebrated her 84th birthday. We are happy to report Bp. Lovell is back to church as also were Martin Mar-tin Ludwig, Jack Turner and R. Cleo Whicker of the Sunday School. We are glad they are all improved. Mr. and Mrs. LaVer McClellan re ceived a telephone call from their daughter, Mrs. Marva Lisiecki in Duluth, Minn. Monday morning. Mrs. Lisiecki reports that the temperatures tem-peratures in and near Duluth are 38 to 47 degrees below zero with winds up to 70 miles an hour. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Peterson of Salt Lake City are the proud parents par-ents of a new baby giri born Jan. 18. The new little miss makes the 22nd grandchild for Mr. and Mrs. John L. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Gardner of San dy, spent Thursday in Delta with their parents, Bishop and Mrs. Norman Nor-man Gardner, ive of the Gardner's children stayed for several days to visit their grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Cleveland Mitchell spent Wednesday in Fillmore Hospital Hos-pital visiting Cleve's brother, Heber Mitchell. Heber was very badly scalded on both feet, about a week ago. Misses Jiil and Janet Larsen of Nephi visited four days in Delta baby has an older sister at home. Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Mont Cok Saturday was their daughter, Darla Terry who is teaching school in the northern part of the state. Other visitors were Mr. Dimmick, Mrs. Cook's Father from West Jordan Jor-dan and Jack Terry and three sons, Keith, Russell and Allen of Ogden. with their praudparents, Bishop and Mrs. Win, S.
