Charlie and his wife and their two boys, Greg and Kelly of Las Vegas. De-Ley, De-Ley, wife and son Scott also of Las Vegas; Tommy, his wife and daugh ter Shonna of Salt Lake; Ed and his three boys, Eddie, Matt and Mike and daughter April of Granger. Gran-ger. Dick Meeham has returned to his duties in the Navy after being home on a 30-day leave. He has been visiting his parents, the Ken Mech-ams, Mech-ams, sisters, Betty Corry and La-Dawn La-Dawn Briekson and families. Mrs. Marjorie Ekker spent two days here from her home at Ekker's Ranch on some business and visited with her daughter, Jeanie Taylor and family. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Wood of Hol-den Hol-den visited in Hinckley with their daughter, Beryl Hardy and family, this week. They returned on Thursday. Thurs-day. Beryl's sister, Mrs, Wyla Sherwood Sher-wood and her grandson, who were here for two days, went home to Salt Lake on Thursday also. The Literary Club was entertained entertain-ed by Mrs. Sharon Western at her home Wednesday evening. Mrs. Vi Robinson reviewed a book on the life of Moss Hart entitled "Act One" Members present were: Belva Morris, Mor-ris, Becky Schena, Golda Talbot, Ruth Talbot, Vi Robinson, Fannie Lee Hilton, Erma Cropper, Clara Stewart, LaFay Corey, Reva Talbot, Evelyn Morris, Dana Bishop, Betty Jane Morris. Guests were: Dorothy Damron, Laura Lyman, Lucille Hansen Han-sen NaRae Petersen, Cherie Morris. Art Reeve has been at his home in Hinckley for the past few days, from Salt Lake where he has been living with his son Rex and family. Saturday evening all of Art's children child-ren and 25 grandchildren gathered together at Art's home for a family get-to-gether and enjoyed films of their families and their activities. Art returned to Salt Lake the first of the week. Walter Manis has been in Elko Nevada working a short while. Ronald Morris and friend Douglas Driggs, a BYU student from Calif, came down from Provo for the phea sant hunt. Released as counselor in YMMIA in church Sunday was Carl Hardy. Chosen to fill the vacancy was Douglas Spencer. Among the many folks who came for the pheasant hunt were Reed and Joan Stewart and their boys of Magna. They were at Clara Stewarts. LAURA BRADFIELD Mar. and Mrs. Dean Eatough and girls spent the weekend in Salt Lake visiting with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Benson and children of Salt Lake were home for the pheasant hunt, and to visit with their parents.Mr. and Mrs. Carl Benson. . Mr. and Mrs. Howard Nielson attended at-tended the funeral services in Fillmore Fill-more for Mis. Archie Christensen Saturday. Mike and Jane Nelson Stanworth of Roy visited their purents Mr. and Mrs, Jack Nelson and Mrs. Ethel Stanworth in Oasis. Mike also did some pheasant hunting. Sunday afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Wilkins visited in Delta with Mrs. Cassie Allred and In Hinckley with Mr. and Mrs. Dewy Carpenter. Kirk Overson was one of the lucky deer hunters. He bagged a 4 point buck, weighing 165 lbs on the Nebo District. We don't hear of many lucky hunters like that any more. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Abbegglin of Salt Lake were in town Saturday looking after their property. Cecilia Pino of Hinckley visited at the Lawrence Bradfield home Friday with Joanne Oshby. Her foster parents, Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Wairnick came up later in the evening even-ing and got her. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Nielson and children of Salt Laake visited at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Nielson Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Lassero (Selma Potts) had their baby dau ghter named in church here Sunday She was given the name of Selma Elizabeth. She was named by Reed Nielson assisted by Bishop Ben Stephenson and Howard Nielson. Laurence and Don Bradfield went to Oasis Saturday to hunt pheasants pheas-ants with Grant Peterson and other friends. They were lucky and got their birds. Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Bradfield visited in Hinckley with Mr. and Mrs. Dewy Carpenter and their family. Eva Dutson of Leamington visit ed with Mrs. Eunice Nielson a day last week. Mrs. Shirley Roberts and daugh ter Dana of Stockton were in town Monday visiting friends and rela tives. Seems like this is the time of year for people to purchase new cars, The Jack Nelson family is sporting a new 1067 cadilac, Phli Nielson and Reed Nielson each have new Chevrolet trucks and Eddie Dutson has a ford station wagon. It feels like winter is just about here. It's so cold, windy and gloomy today. I guess we shouldn't complain, com-plain, as we have had such a beaut iful autumn. LeGrande Black, of Salt Lake, formerly of Hinckley, was here to enjoy the pheasant hunt. He stayed stay-ed at the Wayne Petersen home. Margaret and Eldon Jensen of Bountiful spent a couple of days in Hinckley and Delta this week. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Judd received word from their son LeRoy, who lives in Kerny, Arizona that he had flown to Chicago on an all-expense paid trip to a convention. He works for Kennecott Corp. Thoughtless hunters willfully shot a young rooster peacock that belonged to Lee Judd. Duane and ElDean Greener Ekins and baby boy,of Tooele, have been visitors in Hinckley with relatives. While here Duane met with a motor mo-tor scooter accident and suffered a brain concussion but has recovered fine. Alma Jean Edwards of Salt Lake has been in Hinckley to visit with her sisters, Mrs. Enid Damron and Mrs. Alta Warnick and families. Mrs. Lumina Galli, Duane's moth er, stopped in to visit Duane and family this week. She has been in Salt Lake visiting her daughter and in Provo with her sister Agnes and James Dearden, who has major surgery sur-gery in the Utah Valley Hospital. He is reported doing fine. Mrs. Zola Bunker has been in Hinckley for several days. Terri Meinhardt has returned home after spending a week with the Grant Hardys. Bobby Meinhardt visited the Hardys on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. David Stevens of Pleasant Grove came down for a visit with their son Clyde and family; fam-ily; also the Lee Judd family. Mr. and Mrs. Calvin (Evelyn) Skeem and family of Draper spent the weekend with Mrs. Alice Bliss. Mrs. Thora Petersen accompanied her dad and mother on a trip to Las Vegas last week. They visited Karen and Ace Henrickson and two children. They were gone from Thursday until Saturday. Mrs. Fern Hepworth had several of her children and their families at her home and also at the Harold Hepworth's over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. .Joe (Thola) Kolan and son Merrill, a friend Russel Christen sen and a cousin, Paul Kolan, Mr. and Mrs. Kent Kolan all of Bountiful; Bounti-ful; Mrs. Robert Kolan and infant son of Lehl; Mr. and Mrs. Owen (Rae) Woolsey and daughter Joyce of Salt Lake; Bishop and Mrs. Mel- vin Hepworth of Cedar; Dr. and Mrs. June A. Hepworth and family of Blackfoot, Idaho; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Don-ald (Roma) Hepworth and son Will lam and Beth Hepworth of Tooele.1 Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Anderson were hosts at a family supper Sun. evening at their home. Those pre sent were: Don and Etta Bishop,' and Mrs. Myrtis Peterson of Delta. Maris an Wonn George of Spring-, ville visited with Carlos and Beth Anderson this week. i College students home this week end were: David Petersen. Tim Crafts, Deon Talbot and Barry Bishop. Mr. and Mrs. Craig Hardy (Paula Galli) spent the pheasant hunt weekend' at Paula's parents home, the Duane Gams. Babies blessed Sunday in meet ing were two grandsons of Eugene Bishop's. Gwen ad Billy Rogers son of Milford was given the name of Evan Ray and the son of Rita and Bud Jacksn of Ely was blessed Curtis Cur-tis Loren. Wayne and Robert of Ely visited at the homes of cousins Carol Bishop Bis-hop and Aunt Golda Talbot. Karl and Arvilla Workman have had as guests at their home their daughter, Lawanna and Jack and three children of Tooele; Paula and Jack Holsten and children Kim and Mark, of Salt Lake; also Arvilla's cousins, Maynard and Dennis Jacob sen of Randolph, Utah; Mr. and Mrs. George Bunn of Vernon. Satur day morning, George's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Art Bunn of Tooele visited at the Workman home for a short while. Jack and Lawanna and family fam-ily stayed until Tuesday morning. Judd and Jaequie Hardy and family fam-ily of Salt Lake were at the Carl Hardy home for the pheasant hunt. Some of their friends came down with them. . Paul Whiekd left Monday to go to Ogden where he and Freida will soon be making their home. The Whickers have relinguished the management of the Conoco Station here due to Paul's ill health. Freida will be leaving in the near future. We certainly hate to have them leave our town, and we wish them well in thear move to a new home and job. Mel Wright, son of the Rodney Wrights will assume the management of the station immed iately. Bill and Mae Pratt have returned to their home in Hinckley after spending the past month in Kenne-wick, Kenne-wick, Washington, where three of theiir children live, daughter, Pat and sons Marion and Grant. Carolyn an Waldo Warnick Jr. aand children of Cedar were visiting visit-ing their parents, the Harold Morris' and the Waldo Warnicks on Saturday Satur-day and Sunday. To clarify an item in last week's column; Kennard Carter has replaced re-placed Howard Hardy as secretary of the YMMIA. Darrell and Alice Gaye Scow of Logan drove down for the weekend. Friday December 2nd is the date chosen for the Hinckley Relief Society So-ciety Bazaar. Keep this date in mind for future planning. At the Lowell Petersen home for the weekend were: Garold and Mae Damron and family and Ray Ross, his dad and brothers, all of Salt' Lake. Ralph Gronning and friend, Mr. Jones of Price drove over for the pheasant hunt. They stayed with Ralph's mother, Mrs. LaFay Corey. Carl and Laverne Theobald went to Bountiful last week to see their son Randy Bell, who is soon to leave far the service in the Armed Forces. On theiir way home they visited with relatives in Provo. They saw Laverne's brother, Elmo Croft who has just had an operation, opera-tion, his third in the past couple of years. He is doing nicely. Lleone Talbot, wife Arlene and family spent a few days at the Golda Talbot home. Besie and Willard Hardy of Span ish Fork visited with Mrs. Alice Bliss and their son, Howard and family this week. Parry and Jeanie Taylor drove to Payson and visited with. Darrell and Patsy Holden, in Eureka with the Bernell Thomases, and the Duane Greens at Goshen. Dorothy and Raymond Robinson and children of Salt Lake were down over the weekend at the Wes ley Morris home. Mrs. Lonnie Morris had her sister and husband visiting from Ogden for two days this week, Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Collins. . At the Randle Swenson home for the pheasant hunt were Randle's boy's and families: Neil, Carma and boys of Cresent; Carl of Sn't L"':e and Reed and two boys of Midvale. I visited the Center (at Beth Anderson's studio) recently and found a spirit of enthusiasm present. pre-sent. Beth would like to give her many thanks to the people who have taken time to call in person, telephone tele-phone and send flowers; their in terest has been such a tremendous help. Such people as LaCretia Tee-pies Tee-pies and Mrs. Clayson Cahoon who brought friends from Holden and Fillmore. The Ely and Ruth, Nev. Art Club who played host for two weeks to Artist Myrtis Peterson of Delta. Beth would especially like to thank all the children who have come to help her: Miss Brenda Blake, Arthur Bishop, Phyllis Galli, Wesley Peterson's boys, Linda Taylor, Tay-lor, Glen Blake and all the small children who helped. Special thanks to many wonderful friends one in particular, Mrs. Sharon Western who has come for many months and shared many hours and cared for many needs; also Mr. and Mrs. Ren Taylor, Ralph and Mr. and Mrs. Arlo Taylor for their many hours of help and encouragement; Mr. Alma Western for his work in making mak-ing picture frames for the pictures sent to the contests (pictures taken of the paintings).
