Members present were: Shirl Bailey, Anna Lee Hepworth, Kelly Talbot, Anna Lou Slanworth, Mavis Hardy, Le-rxra Le-rxra Ivie; Lyla Rae Morris, Lawanna Peterson, Dorothy Spencer. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Reeve went to Salt Lake Tuesday, for a week, on business and to keep a doctor's appointment foir Mary. Mrs. VaLynne Dutson went to Cedar City Tuesday, to see her husband, hus-band, Carl, who was hospitalized there for the flu. He was released the next day and was able to return re-turn to work. Lorin Dutson acc. her to Cedar. Down from Provo visiting Mrs. Gladys Carter were Mr. and Mrs. John Gilbert. Ruth and Cluff Talbot went to Provo Wednesday, to see the basketball bas-ketball tournament. Marcia stayed in Deseiret with her aunt, Ines Damron. Sunday evening, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Peterson drove to Nephi for the missionary welcome home program for Thotra's sister, Vera Paxman's son. Mare Phillips underwent a ton-silectomy ton-silectomy at the W.M. Hospital. Mrs. Snarry Snyder was in Salt Lake, one day last week, to keep a doctor's appointment. Down from Salt Lake were Mrs. Jacquie Hardy and children, Russel, Kevin and Penny. They visited Car! and Beryl Hardy and family, and returned home later in the week. The lesson in Relief Society on Tuesday was presented interestingly interesting-ly and very clever, by Berneice Palmer. Mrs. VaLynne Dutson and children child-ren drove to Price Wednesday, to see VaLynne's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Draper, Jeannie and Dean. The Literary Club met at the home of Betty Jane Morris, March 16. Her 'mother, Margaret Roper, gave an interesting review of part of her trip to the Holy Land and other countries. She talked mainly main-ly on Turkey and Egypt. It was a very interesting review and the souvenirs were just beautiful. Attending At-tending were members, Belva Morris, Mor-ris, Sharon Western, Reva Talbot, Ernia Cropper, Golda Talbot, Elaine Hardy, Clara Stewart. Oleta Swen- sen was a guest. Grant Hardy went to Holden on business one day last week. Wednesday, Mr. and Mrs. Ken Mecham drove to Salt Lake to meet their son, Dick, who Is on a 15 day leave from the Navy at San Diego. They visited in Orem with Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Mecham and family and Mr. and Mrs. Brooks Robison and family. , Mrs. Dana Bishop and Mrs. Del-ma Del-ma Jean Galli drove to Cedar City to attend a 4-H meeting Wednesday. Wednes-day. Attending a dance workshop in Fillmore Friday, were Mrs. Alta Warnick and Mrs. Elaine Hardy, ainng with several MIA officers and members from Desexet Stake. Church dance committee instructors instruct-ors gave the dance instruction. Mr. and Mrs. Meron Peterson were in Salt Lake over the weekend, week-end, where Meron receives medical treatment. Mrs. Suzanne Ashhurst and baby visited Suzanne's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Judd and family. She lives in Logan. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Morris returned re-turned home Monday after having been to Arlington, Virginia, for the final Memorial rites for their son, Lt. Mario Morris. Mrs. Cherrie Morris had her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bishop, of Salt Lake, to visit hex. They went on to St. George to visit. Mrs. Bishop returned to Hinckley to take care of Don and Cherrie's children while they went on to Calif, for a few days. Friday, Mrs. Margie Judd, Mrs. Beryl Hardy attended a meeting in Fillmore for lunch room workers. Mrs. Adele Peterson acc. them. Sherlene Judd and Sharilyn Hardy Har-dy visited in Fillmore over spring vacation. They stayed with the Jeddie Judd's. Jeddie brought them home, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Reeve went to Sigurd, Sunday, to attend the missionary farewell for their grandson, grand-son, Glen Dastrup, son of Mr. and Mrs. Evan Dastrup. Mrs. Dastrup is the former MaryleneReeve. Cajolyn and Waldo Warnick, Jr. and two children, Sandra and Alan were up from Cedar City, to spend a few days with the Harold Morris Mor-ris and WaWo Warnick families. Correction from last week's column. col-umn. It read: Mr. and Mrs. Harold Morris left for Arlington, Va., to at tend final memorial rites for their son, Lt. Ronald Morris. It should have read, for their son, Lt. Mario Morris. Among those attending the basketball bas-ketball tournament in Provo, were Mr. and Mrs. Marion Dillenbeck. They went on in to Salt Lake, Sunday, Sun-day, on business. Mrs. Alta Warnick visited in Ka-nosh Ka-nosh with her sister, Mrs. Chell Hat ton. Sharon Meinhaxdt was visiting at Oak City News Mrs. Mae H. Shipley The Relief Society annual birthday birth-day was celebrated Wednesday ev ening with a dinner and program. All adults in the ward were invited. Pres. Cheryl Roper was in charge. A TV program with Austin Lovell as emcee, consisted of quizz show, skits, readings, dances and musical numbers. A 100 people were out to enjoy the dinner and program. Mr. Jack Finlinson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Finlinson left Tues day for Fort Douglas to serve in the Army. Mrs. Genevieve Blanchard is home after spending the winter in Nev. and Calif, with hot children. Mrs. Ann Finlinson and daughter RaNae and Sylvia Finlinson were in Salt Lake a few days last week. Many of our townspeople were in Provo last week to the tournament. tourna-ment. We congratulate DHS. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Sheriff of Provo were Oak City visitors especially espe-cially his brother Wilford at Delta hospital. We are glad to report that Wilford Wil-ford Sheriff is home again and im proving each day. Mr. and Mrs. Burnis Finlinson and children Lynn, Scott and Virginia spent the weekend here from Calif. Miss Claudia Jacbson of Murray spent the weekend with parents, Mr. and Mrs. Milan Jacobson. Wayne Shipley and girl friend Judy of West Jordan spent a few days visiting relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Dutson and two children of Cedar City and Mr. Quayle Dutso'n of Salt Lake spent the weekend visiting parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Dutson. Also their son Lambert visited from Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Mel Roper and family fa-mily of Cedar City were Oak City visitors. Mrs. Lemira Dutson celebrated her birthday Saturday by having her children home: Mr. and Mrs. Roland Dutson and two children and Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Dutson and baby, also, Calvin and Howard and families. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Roper from Milford visited relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Christensen and family spent last Thursday in Payson visiting Mrs. Betty Christensen Chris-tensen and children. Betty is still on crutches since her accident but is improving. Little Kathy has just had the casts removed from her legs. Saturday night a farewell dance and testimonial was given for Roger Ro-ger Anderson. Roger has been called call-ed to the Western Canadian mis sion. He entered the mission home March 21st. Iast week the young people had a sox and hankie party for Elder Roger Anderson at the home of Glade Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Anderson returned from Salt Lake after two weeks of taking treatments. Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Peterson and daughter Jeri Kae of Salt Lake vis ited grandmother Oretta Peterson and Joe went to Salt Lake Thurs. Saturday and Sunday Jane Finlinson, Kent Finlinson, Nola Nielson, EIRue Atldredge, Kyle and Jewel Jacobson, Lambert Dutson, Jack Sievewright, Newell Anderson, Dale Pratt, Roger Anderson, Ander-son, Margo Nielson, all college students, stu-dents, were home. Miss Betty Lou Lovell and boy friend of Cedar City spent the weex end home and enjoyed the dance Saturday night. Mr. and Mrs. Steven Nielson and two children of Tooele spent the weekend here. Mrs. Linda Lue Soarle and son, Clay came to Hinckley by train, after having visited in Las Vegas with her brothers, Michael and Steven and their families. Steve Searle came over and took them home to Fillmore. George Ekins is now home after having had surgery in the W.M. Hospital at Delta. Patrice Bishop went to the basketball bas-ketball tournament at Provo, with Emily Young and family of Abraham. Abra-ham. We are sorry to lose Enid as she has always been an active church and civie worker. We will miss her but we do wish her success in her undertaking. Monday, Elaine Hardy attended a Primary program and party sponsored spon-sored by the Delta 2nd Ward. Students Stu-dents of her participated on the program. Mrs. Reva Talbot, who has been a counselor in stake YWMIA to Pies. Dorothy Webb, for several years, was released Sunday in Conference Con-ference along with Mrs. Webb. Mrs. Rita Jackson is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Bishop. Bish-op. Mrs. Reva Talbot made a business busi-ness trip to Salt Lake last week. She received information from the Salt Lake office and then went on to the Spanish Fork and Payson offieese of Intermountain Farmers Ass'n and assisted in their reports and other business. From Logan, Kris and Vincent Cropper and baby. Tiffany visited at the Carl Hardy home. Saturday, Mrs. Vincent Cropper and Mrs. Carl Hardy went to Hold-en Hold-en to spend the day with Mrs. Hardy's Har-dy's mother, Mrs. Clyde Wood, on her birthday. Carl Hardy is working in Salt Lake. Mrs. Alta Reeve is in the W.M. Hospital at Delta. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Mecham and family and Mr. and Mrs. Brooks Robison and family of Orem, visited with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ken Mecham and Dick. MRS. HEBER ROSE It was good to see all the college youth home again between quarters quar-ters of school. Those home were, Elouise Johnson, Annette Rawlin-son, Rawlin-son, Lewis Rawlinson, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Bennett and baby Jerilyn, Michael Rose, Scott and Barbara Callister, all of CSU; Laura Moody, Win Walker, Kent Turner, Dixie. Dennis Johnson was also home. Mr. and Mrs. Melvirj Hepworth of Cedar City visited on Friday and Saturday with their folks, Mr. and Mrs. Heber Rose and in Hinckley with Mrs. Hepworth. Mr. and Mrs. Wind made a trip to Provo to visit with their children, child-ren, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Wind and Mr. and Mrs. Auer Jensen. Mr. and Mrs. Thurmon Moody took their family to Provo on Thurs day to see the games. To visit their parents over the weekend were Judy Kaye Owens, and Patti Robison of Logan and Wanda Lee Tolbert of Dixie. The chorus from the U. of U., according ac-cording to all reports was very outstanding. out-standing. One of the singers in the chorus was a DHS graduate, Quayle Dutson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Willis Dutson of Oak City. Congratula tions, Quayle. Miss Elouise Johnson has decided to attend summtr school and discontinue dis-continue spring quarter as she had planned. Miss Evelyn Johnson, Elouise Johnson, Mrs. Nina Johnson, Mrs. Jean Johnson and two children Ben and Karol made a trip to Salt Lake on Monday returning the same day. Lst week Mrs. Jean Johnson had two of her former roommates visit with her from Salt Lake City. We saw Mrs. Hettie Johnson out Sunday with her daughter Mrs. Mary Johnson. We are always glad to see nor and to know that she is enjoying better health. She stays with her daughters in Lynndyl at the present time. Miss Ethelyn Yazzie spent Friday night and Saturday visiting witn Miss Beulah Morgan at the Hebei Rose home. Arlene and Bill Chappell and girls Corie Lynn and Sheri Ann of Granger visited Sunday with Trula and Nate Abbott and family. They took Barbara back with them for a visit of two weeks. Dorothy and Don Croft and children child-ren Gary and Lynda of Las Vegas spent the weekend with Trula and Nate Abbott and Neal. ABRAHAM Mrs. AFTON FULLMER with Glen Swalberg as leader, was Congratulations to Mr.' and Mrs. Isaac Losee of Sugafville, on their 59th Wedding Anniversary. We are glad to see our friends, the Jefferson Jones' home after spending the winter In St. George. So good to see Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Anderson of Oak City and John Henry Western of Deseret, who had just celebrated his 97th birthday. We enjoyed watching him sing at conference. The Second Ward Youch Chorus enjoyed very much. Sherman and Gladys Tolbert had their family homt for the weekend, Dorothy and baby, Kelli; Verl and wife, Judy; Fred and Winona and two little boys, Clay and Gaylen, and Wanda Lee who is going to school in St. George. Jill Johnson was home from CSU and Tracy Fullmer came down from Tooele, over the weekend. Carmella Hoelzle and boys, Neno We are glad to have Ed and Mar garet Taylor home again, after after five months in Calif, with their srn, Lee and wife, Betty. While in Calif. Ma-garet's two aunts in Michigan died, Emma and Carrie. They wore hoih over 90 years old and always kept in touch with Margaret all these years. Jack and June IV id and Floyd and Cleone Tolbert took a nice long weekend trip. I think Floyd and Cleone went to s e t!-r!r children, LaVoy and family in Torry and Sherril and family in Arizona.
