WESTERN Mr. and Mrs. Marion Dillenbeck are the proud great-grandparents of a 7 lb. iittle baby girl born Nov. 12. The proud parents are Jim and Dorene Meinburg of Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. George Ekins, Mr. and Mrs. Hon Cropper and Fanny Lee Hilton went to the Salt Lake Temple Tuesday for the wedding of Maline Cropper, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ladd Cropper. The cantata "Gospel Songs of Christmas" was very well done by the choir. The chapel was fiLed, also the cry room and class room above the chapel. The decorations were pink and white. A lovely flocked tree with pink decorations graced the entrance- hall. The climax cli-max was, as is traditional, "The Hallelujah Chorus" with everyone desiring to do so joining with the choir. It was very stirring. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Spendlove came especially from Kaysville for the cantata. Ray Bishop came from Provo so he could be here for the cantata. He is a former choir member. The elementary school put on a very entertaining program with all the children participating. Santa visited and gave all the youngsters candy and nuts. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Hafen (No-reen (No-reen Reeve) visited at the Elford Reeve home for Christmas. Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Western visited vis-ited Mr. and Mrs. Alma Western on the 19th of December. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Ekins have been at the Walter Ekins home for the holidaya They have returned to Oregon State College where thoy are attending school. They will visit with Jeannie's parents in St. Marie, Idaho on their way home. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Spendlove visited Mrs. Reva Taylor and the Rodney Wrights Monday and Tuesday. Tues-day. Annette and DeLyle Bennett were down from Idaho for the holidays. hol-idays. Vaughn and Phyllis Bennett came home from Murray to spend the Christmas holidays with their family. They had their tree in and lights strung outside just as though they had never been away. It was good to see the signs of life around there .again and from the number of cars there, I suppose all of their children were glad to have them home again. Miss Donna Warnick and a girl friend visited Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Warnick. Duane and Eldean Ekins visited their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Greener and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ekins. A family dinner was held at the Ekins home Christmas afternoon. after-noon. Mr. and Mrs. Ward Peterson held a big family dinner at their home Christmas Eve. Many of Ward's brothers and sisters attended asj well as Mr. and Mrs. Randy Morrow, Mor-row, NaRae's mother and her husband. hus-band. Mrs. Carl Hardy and children spent Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. Willard Hardy and Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Steele. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Hardy visited at the Willard Hardy home. Floyd and Georgia Taylor visited Reva Taylor for Christmas. They live in Nephi. Leslie and Diane Diehl spent Christmas at home with their parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Ken Damron. Gwen and Billy Rogers and daughter daug-hter visited Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Bishop. They were also here for the cantata. Bryan Petersen spent Christmas with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Petersen. The college students gave the program Sunday night. Leo Ekins, Gene 'Morris, Leslie Diehl and Bryan Bry-an Petersen spoke and Susan Reeve sang a song. Bryan does not go to school, he teaches at Grants-vihe. Grants-vihe. , Mrs. Lieuwen Shumway spent Christmas visiting with her children, child-ren, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Shumway and Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Western. Mr. and Mrs. Evan Western visited vis-ited the Alma Westerns and the Sheldon Westerns Tuesday. Clara Stewart spent Christmas with her children in the Salt Lake area. Beth Hepworth visited her mother, moth-er, Fern Hepworth. She teaches in Tooele. The William Pratts are spending some time visiting their children in Washington. Congratulations to Alice Gaye Bliss and Daryl Scow who were married Tuesday in the Manti LDS Temple. Happy New Year. I hope everyone every-one will make a New Year's resolution resolu-tion to call in their news. It makes it so much nicer for those who live away or do not get out much.
