Visitors at the Erog Hopkins home during the Christmas holidays holi-days were Mr. and Mrs. Gary Win-kel Win-kel and f.ami y of Milford, Mr. and Mrs. Jim As'iion and soi Tadd, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Hellier of Sa!t Lake and Dan Iverson of Dugway. Mrs. Freeman Rowley of Fill-nore came and spent four days with htr mother, Mrs. Cecilia Hopkins after her release from the hospital. She is now staying with the Brog Hopkins Hop-kins and improving nicely after her car accident. Mr. and Mrs. G en Hopkins cf Midvaie spent a day visiting with their mother. Mr. and Mrs. Seth Jackson, La-Mont, La-Mont, Jessie and I visited in Hol-den Hol-den Sunday afternoon with Grandma Grand-ma Jackson and Mr. and Mrs. Wells Kenney and family. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Meinburg were to church Sunday .night with their new little adopted daughter. They have had her since she was four weeks old and named her Jaynice Dorene. They were visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Rod Shields and Mr. and Mrs. Marion Dillenbeck. Mr. and Mrs. Da'e Wood spent the Christmas weekend in Delta with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Newell Sverson and Mr. and Mrs. Lon Wood. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Munson and family have spent their vacation vaca-tion in Delta and Tropic visiting with their parents. They are leaving leav-ing this week to go back to Win-nemucca, Win-nemucca, Nevada. Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Maxfield oi Las Vegas spent Christmas week' end with their parents, V. S. On Sunday Sun-day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Evan Gardner this same group had a family dinner. Mr. and Mrs. Max Robison are spending their Christmas in New York with Mr. and Mrs. LaVoy Robison Rob-ison and family. Douglas Johnson who is in the service was home with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Ward Johnson for the holidays. A Christmas family party that is always remembered and looked for ward to is the one that is held each year at the home of Mrs. Adaline Jeffery. A buffet dinner was served to 60 family members and friends during the afternoon. Pearl Jeffery and Mrs. Martha Shanks of Salt Lake came early to help Mrs. Jeffery Jef-fery get ready. Although not all there at the same time, but during the afternoon were: Mr. and Mrs. ! Orvil Jeffery, Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Pladden and family, Mr. and Mrs. ' Glen Jeffery, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Jeffery of Albuquerque, N. M. who had flown in on business and had to be back to go to work today; Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Tripp and De-' De-' ora of Callao, Mr. and Mrs. Bernd. Henkel of Dugway, Mr. and Mrs. Eldro Jeffery and family, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Jeffery and four little boys of Fargo, North Dakota, Mrs. Auline Jeffery and family of Provo, Yr. and Mrs. Robert Harris are on their way to Washington having been transferred from the south, Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Jeffery and fa-. mily. And while their program was being given Elder Bruce Jeffery i called from the mission field to! visit with them. Dr. and Mrs. Deff: Jeffery and family and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Tripp and family and their friend and two children of Provo; Mr. and Mrs. Dwaine Jeffery Jef-fery had been here earlier in the week for their visit, but had to return re-turn to Calif, for business reasons. Mrs. Henkel and Mrs. Paul Tripp had the program in charge and it was a real thrill for evervone who enjoyed a real old fashioned Christmas with the old fashion pudding pud-ding that was cooked in a cloth. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Huff are spending their holidays from school in Calif, with the Dell Ashbys and j the Bud Huffs. Richard and Carol Ann Fams- WORKS worth spent the ho'.idays with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hath Farns-worth. Farns-worth. They are going to school at Ricks College in Roxburg, Idaho. Kiss Beniti Hardy is visiting in Magna with Mr and Mrs. Alden Hardy and family.' Mr. and Krs. Rex Sperry spent Sstu-dny afternoon and Sunday in Nephi visiting with Mr. Sperry's sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Howarth. Winn Peck who is in the service cie home to spend the holidays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Kel-ly Peck and family and with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank i Bringard. Judy is a very sincere person who reveals special interest in and genuine concern con-cern for others, a desirable trait in making friends. Her attitude toward school is positive. She likes all her classes and puis her best effort into each, with good results. She is a commendable com-mendable student. An out look such as Judy's is appreciated by those whom she works with. Judy's interest range is wide and varied: she enjoys cooking and She has a unique quality of voice low, soft, yet lilting. This is an asset in story presentation and friendly conversation. Judy's plans for the future are ambitious, and she is especially likely to succeed in her vocation of social work, studied at Cedar City and BYU. Marianne Wichmann gt.. I. mr fCp ClUD JCtV8 The. school spirit this year at D H.S. is going very strong. One of the important reasons is that the Tri Dels are active. All of the members must go thru a rigorous and precise tryout to ob tain membership. Their constitution constitu-tion requires them to maintain at least a 'B' average. The Tri Dels are a group of girls who do many things to keep up the snhnol -snirif Thou mnfco. ct " ers tor every game, march at half times during football and basketball basket-ball games. Also they sponsor the Preference Ball and the assembly. They wear their red unif Drms when ever there is a game, which custom helps create a good school spirit. These busy school spirit boosters also present a drill review and par- ticipate at the BYU Invitational in the spring. Their officers are President Bev- erly Bunker; Secretary-Treasurer I ir.v,'.v.v.-.wm. The sands of lime for the old year are running out and its shadow is fading away. Time again to send our customers greetings for the New Year. Week . . . Ray Wood, son of Phyllis and Read Wood, is the MoDel sports writer. He is faithful in attending every sports activity and in writing writ-ing up accurate and interesting ac-! counts of them. j Besides this interest in sports writing, Ray iikes to play the trumpet trum-pet very much. He also enjoys swimming, amateur telescoping, and hunting. Ray belongs to the science club, exhibiting his desire to keep up to date on the latest scientific developments. English, phys. ed., and publications publica-tions rate as tops In Ray's book of school subjects. He is always friendly and willing to help and this is a gratifying trait nowadays. Following in his older brother, Spencer's footsteps, Ray plans to become a psychology major. He is going to spend two years at CSU and transfer to the U. of U. to complete his education. Since Ray willingly does extra and has such an indomitable spirit, we're sure he will reach his goals. We wish Ray much good luck and success, realizing that he will make the best of his opportunities. I hope everyone had a very Merry Chris'.mas and that the New Year will be good to everyone. This past year has sure'y been j one we'll never frrget. Thanks to, all our many friends for their con- cern about our daughter, Bonnie, She is getting along fine. We took! her from the hospital last Thurs- j day. She is at the present time ; with her sister, Mr. and Mrs. Neil ' Forster in Roy. She will be there until after New Year's. We do love and appreciate our family for their help, also our friends. We are also very happy to have ovr son Nye Willden home with us for the holidays. Mrs. Zola Lambright went with us and we left her in Tooele to spend Christmas with her children, Mr. and Mrs. Merrell Lambright and Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Marshall and families. Mr. and Mrs. Don Roesner and daughter Jeri came to Delta from Chicago to spend the holidays with their family and friends. Their son Jim who is attending CSU joined them. With the E. L. Moodys for Christ- mas were their children (that I saw) Paul and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Moody of San Mateo, Calif. Misses Jeri, Susan and Jean Ash- by were home from college with Mr. and Mrs. Carl Ashby. Other college students I saw were Winn and Colleen Farnsworth, Mava Whicker, Dean Perkins, Jean Eliason, Kent Gardner, Judy Shepherd Shep-herd and fiance Gary Barney and Lorraine and Doug Taylor. Mr. and Mrs. Lindsey Steele visited vis-ited Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Aildredge, Mrs. Leslie Hanson and small son Scott visited the Les Welton family. Also, congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Richard Dewsnup on the birth of a new baby girl, Dec. 16. This is another grandchild for the Weltons and the fourth child for the Dewsnups. Mrs. Evva Wilkins went to Salt Lake to spend Christmas with her children and will be spending the next two or three months with her family up north. Mr. and Mrs. LaVer McClellan had a phone call from their daughter daugh-ter to wish them a Merry Christmas, Christ-mas, Mr. and Mrs. Walt Led and family of Duluth, Minn. Mr. Wilford McClellan called from Buckeye, Ariz, to wish his family fa-mily a Merry Christmas. He says he is feeling fine. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Gordon and children of Sandy visited Mr. and Mrs. L. F.
