Show Another week has rolled by and I'm still here in the Juab County Hospital. I think they have decided to keep me here for the winter. The world certainly is a winter won derland, everything is so pretty and white with snow. Yet, I know its real cold out there. I hope I can soon go home. I miss my family and friends so much. I miss seeing my . little neighbor children and hearing all the things that happen in school. Speaking of school, Delta Del-ta High football team has sure been great this year. I'm so proud of Wendell Nielson and Craig Great house. They are both such swell fellows. Lynndyl is full of outstanding outstand-ing young people. I certainly miss going to church. Yesterday I laid in bed and watched the people go to church. By the amount of cars, there must be a large ward here. I have a darling roommate, Mary Pierce, age 81, from Levan. She has a keen sense of humor and we enjoy each other; She knows Ben and Lorraine Stephensen, Jane Williams, Wil-liams, all the Williams from Mills, til we find we have a lot in common com-mon to talk about. They still have a lot of pills up here, but they ran out of Mustard Plasters yesterday .(this makes me think I am better); and "I've-soon ran out of space for shots. I know just how a pin cushion must feel. I have received so many pretty cards and letters from my many friends. I wish to thank them for remembering me. . And the ones that have come to' see me, Mr. and Mrs. LaForge Lovell, Mrs. Rulon Dutson and mother Margaret Brad-field Brad-field from Leamington. Mr. and Mrs. Clead Nielson and Lucille Overson went to Manti to the temple last Wednesday. They stopped to see me on their way home. Mr. and Mrs. Kent Hughes of Salt Lake came down Sunday and spent the afternoon with me. Visitors in Salt Lake Thursday and Friday were Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln Lin-coln Cropper. Mrs. Patsy E. Holden was in Ogden Og-den to attend "Golden Spike Days". Mr. and Mrs. Leon Croft and daughter dau-ghter Becky of Las Vegas spent several days visiting with relatives and friends. Mrs. Myrle Bennett has returned home after having spent the past few weeks at Orem and Magna. Bishop and Mrs. Lincoln Eliason entertained members of the bishopric bishop-ric and their wives to a party at their home on Thursday evening, Nov. 12. Those present were Bishop and Mrs. Lincoln Eliason, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Black, Mr. and Mrs. Orin Allred and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Webb. Mr. Monte Apple ton spent Thursday Thurs-day and Friday in Deseret visiting with relatives and friends and taking tak-ing a load of furniture back home with him. Let's all circle the date of Dec. 3rd and plan on attending the Relief Re-lief Society Bazaar and Dinner. Darrel Scow, who is attending Snow College, was home for the weekend with his parents, Milden and Arprilla. Darrell Allred and son Mike and Bryce and Boyd Bishop of Salt Lak spent several days at the home of Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Allred. Ward Conference wan held Sun day evening. We were real happy to have the entire Stake Presidency with us. It seems that every so of ten a change in bishopric's of the ward are in order. Oak City News MAE H. : At Sunday evening services the Howard Dutson family gave the program, after a very good talk by Lynn Finlinson. This was a very nice meeting and enjoyed by all present. Mrs. Ann Finlinson is in Salt Lake with son David and Judith helping with the family and caring for the little new son born Nov. H. Congratulations David and Judith and the two little sisters who will be happy to have a little brother. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Finlinson spent the past week visiting relatives in California. Mrs. Eda Christensen and family had her father Lorenzo Peterson and wife visiting. They were going on to Manti to be at the wedding of their daughter Verlene. The Peter Anderson families met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Walker Friday evening for a time of visiting, eating and laughs-a-plenty. The electricity failed Oak City, caused by falling limbs and trees on the wires. It didn't dampen damp-en the spirit or good time of this get-together family. . The weatherman took over the temporary cleanup over the week end with 18 inches of lovely wet snow. There were no weeds or un sightly things showing. Seemed like we were walking in winter wonderland. . Owen Lovell's yards and sidewalks is always a pleasure to look at. The Grant Finlinsons have kept their yards and sidewalk nice this past summer. The beautifica- tion committee is constantly busy planning for a cleanup campaign next spring. Let's all cooperate and not be outdone by any other place in the county. Let's get publicity mily. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Talbot and baby Craig of Mesa, Ariz, visited their parents, Cloyd and Emma Tal bot. They were on their way to Idaho Ida-ho for the funeral of LuDean's fa ther, Ivan Woodward. He died Mon day night at the age of 87. Mr. and Mrs. Cloyd Talbot were at Franklin, Idaho Friday to at'.end funeral services for Ivan Woodward On their trip home they stayed at the home of Cioyd's sister, Myrtle Anderson and family in Ogden, Les- l.e Carvell in Salt Lake and daughter daugh-ter LuOna and family at Nephi. Mrs. Martha Anderson went to Salt Lake Friday to check with her doctor. She visited a few days in Ogden and vicinity with daughters Shirley and Rosal e and families. She at- endowment work. It took some of us three hours to cover the distance between Delta Del-ta and Manti. Some had their cars slip off the road. Mr. Eugene Gardner Gard-ner had the misfortune to have his car leave the road and turn over, near the Juab-Miilard County line. But he was for.unate to have some good pec pie like WiU'am and Mary Bassett that loaded him in their car and returned him to the West Millard Hospital. We wish him a quick recovery from his Injuries. Those in he car with Bill and Mary were Walter and Zola Wright, Mrs. Louise M. Lyman and Emma Hunsaker. They were on their way to the Temple. C'ayson and Hazel Cahoon asked me to accompany them to the temple. tem-ple. We left at 5:30 a.m. in a snow storm. Just outside of town we had a flat tire. Clayson with the help of Hazel and a flashlight changed the tire. We went on to Fillmore. It was nice and dry there. We picked pick-ed up Hazel's sister, Zella Walch and her two friends, Mrs. Eva Nielson Niel-son and Mrs. Jean Bennett. At Holden Hol-den we ran into a snow storm which lasted until we got to Sa-lina. Sa-lina. From there to Manti the roads were good. We surely enjoyed a lovely day in the temple.
