Mrs. too Black spent last Monday Mon-day Sept. 28 in Fillmore with her mother, Mrs. Ethel Baker. It was Mrs. Baker's 74th birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Baker spent that evening in Fillmore with his mother. Gary Bunker was home from school this weekend with his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Bunker. Mr. and Mrs. Clayson Cahoon spent last Monday in Salt Lake. Mrs. Adrian Hansen was in Provo for a few days last week. She visit ed with her son Kimball and fam ily. They are all enjoying the new baby boy born to them Sept. 30th. This is the 36th grandchild of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hansen. Miss Laura Lee Hansen was home over the weekend with her folks, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Hansen. Laura Lee is attending the BYU School of Nursing. Gary and Glenda A say and their three girls of Salt Lake spent three daysTWith Glenda s brother and fa miiy, Mr. and Mrs. Kendell Brinker- hoff. Mrs. Ella Black accompanied some of her brothers and sisters Monday to San Luis Obispo, Calif, to attend the funeral of her youngest young-est brother Myral Clark, who died suddenly Friday, Oct. 2nd. Ella's many friends of this area want to express our deep sympathy to her and her family. Bishop and Cla'r Stephenson spent three days in Salt Lake City attending conference and Gwen was home with her younger brothers broth-ers and sister from the BYU while her folks were away. Miss Ruth Ann Lyman spent the weekend home from the BYU with her folks, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin A. Lyman. Kay and Diane Bassett spent the weekend with the'r folks, Mr. and Mrs. William S. Bassett. Mr. Bob Wallace of Chino, Calif, and his sister Dora Walker of Mil-ford Mil-ford (they are the children of the late Mrs. Waiora Wallace) visited last Thursday in Delta with their many friends and relatives. Mrs. Mary Bassett and her sister Mrs. Louise M. Lyman spent two days last week in Nephi to help her daughter Mrs. Eloise Larson and family. They were all sick with the flu. Happy to report they are much better. Kent Kimber spent Friday n'ght in Provo with Gary Cnrry, son of Mr. and Mrs. Heyborne Corry and he and Gary went to Salt Lake Saturday and spent the night with Evan Robison, son of Elmer and Velda Robison. Gary is attending the BYU and Evan is working for Kennecott Copper Corp. Mrs. Colleen Warenski and her brother Boyd Kimber surprised their parents Mr. and Mrs. Albert Kimber Saturday, night and they with Miss Ethel Lovell spent Sun day visiting and checking their f,nal plans for Boyd's and Ethel's marriage Tuesday and the recep lion Saturday, Oct. 10th in Leam ington. The Delta Second Ward Young Manieds' Class of the M.I.A. will meet-Thursday (tonight) at the home of Donaid and Elaine Robi son. The first lesson of the season will be given by Mrs. Loa Black. All young married couples those who feel young in the ward are invited to attend. Last Saturday, Oct. 3 was Kathleen Kath-leen Wankier's birthday. Helping her celebrate besides Lee and and her children were Mr. and Mrs. James H.. Eager, Kathleen's aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Orvil C. Wankier of Levan, Lee's folks, Mr. Robert Warner and his two children, Kathleen's Kath-leen's brother and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Warner. Paul Cutler left last Friday with his brother-in-law, Mr. John Omer and sons Russell and Bryce of Salt Lake for a trip to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. They hiked down the Bright Angel Trail to Phantom Ranch, then on down to the bridge which crosses the river and then hiked back a distance of 30 miles. Oh, those poor aching feet. But Paul said he enjoyed it very much. He returned Monday. While Paul was away Joan and son Keith visited with her folks, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Woodbury in Salt Lake City. Albert and I spent Tuesday at the Manti LDS Temple and attended attend-ed the marriage ceremony of our son, Boyd and Ethel Lovell. The many friends of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Adams of this area extend to them their deepest sympathy in their recent bereavement in the loss of -their dear little daughter. We waTit 'them to know we share their loss with them. ABRAHAM Monday we went to Tooele and Centerville to vis t and get a load of peaches fo canning. Today, Saturday, we attended the services for liltle Ella Jean Adams, 2 -year-old daughter of Kenneth and Lorraine Petersen Adams Ad-ams in the Sutherland Ward. A large crowd was in attendance and beautiful floral offerings. The family fam-ily must feel better after the wonderful won-derful talks and tr butes and beautiful beau-tiful musical numbers given. Mr. and Mrs. Frelen Shurtz made a trip to Salt Lake to get the'r daughter dau-ghter Collen Jergens. She had flown in from California for a visit with her son Eugene who is on a mission mis-sion and had come into Salt Lake for conference. Colleen then came home with her parents for a week's visit here. They had a family reunion re-union Saturday night with all their children and families attending. They were all home except Kent and he was unable to come, but his wife Shirley of Salt Lake came for the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Elden Shurtz took their little daughter Kay Lynn into Salt Lake for an operation last Mon day and now she is doing fine. Mr. and Mrs. Elden Shurtz went up this Sunday and brot her home. Hilda Oliver made a trip Friday to Salt Lake on the train for a medical check-up. Bishop and Mrs. Roy Losee made a trip to Salt Lake Saturday for conference. Verla Jenson and Sharon Clark went up to Salt Lake to conference to sing with the Singing Mothers chorus. We were happy and proud to see our girls almost on the front row and many others we could recognize re-cognize from our Desexet Stake. What a thrilling experience for us and them a chance in a life time Bob Jenson is home again for a visit with his family. Sunday night was testimonial at Sacrament meeting. A good crowd attended. Colleen Jergens and Nolan Adams visited our meeting. Jay Stone of Salt Lake visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Stone last weekend. Fern Sampson of Salt Lake, sis ter of Elva Stone also visited at ;he Stone home last week. Mrs. Geneal Jensen went up to Salt Lake last week with Farlyn Edwards. Farlyn went up to see her son Wayne off to his mission. Joyce Hill was home from Loyan for a visit over the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Art Hill and Artie. - .,v. .- - . , . Eve Shields was here for a few days from Ely where Curt is work ing this last month. Mr. and Mrs. LeAur Shields and family and Carol Barben made a trip to American Fork Saturday. gar Taylor's 75th birthday. We wish him health and happiness and ma ny more happy birthdays. His children all called by telephone to greet him on that day. Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Bennett (Colona Petersen) of Holden and family attended the funeral for baby ba-by Adams. Mrs. Gladys Tolbert and Wanda Lee went to Provo Saturday to visit and keep an appointment with Wanda's orthodontist. They expected expect-ed to go on to Salt Lake Sunday to attend conference. I'm sure I spotted Jean Tolbert, Dale's wife, of Lynndyl on TV in the Singing Mothers on Friday. What a thrill for her and all the others to sing in the famed Taber nacle. We very much enjoyed a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Otis Corbett of Delta Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Clark Tolbert brot their tiny 6 lb. baby boy to visit the Lloyd Tolberts over the weekend. week-end. They live in Price and the wee one is one month old and named (the best boys' name of all) John Hamilton. It was a pleasure to meet Clin ton and Myrtle Tolbert and Golden and Deona Erickson at the services today. Deona once lived here, also Myrtle and Clinton. A car hit the electric light pole and knocked out the power Friday night. No early breakfast for people peo-ple with electric stoves not us we burn butane! Chester Corbett is at present combining out at Warm Springs out Gandy way. I wish to correct an error . from last week's news. It said Mrs. Rose Webb was the only sister . living after the death of George Webb. It should of read Mrs. Rose Webb Knight. We wish a belated happy birthday birth-day wish to Mrs. Cleone Tolbert. Just couldn't guess her age, but she's just a kid yet! It was one day last week. Folks are still scouting for pine-nuts pine-nuts and trying to locate the best place to hunt deer.
